As a Field Engineer 2 at GE Precision Healthcare LLC, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for complex medical imaging equipment and related systems at customer sites. You will ensure optimal performance and reliability of GE Precision Healthcare products, contributing directly to patient care and customer satisfaction.

Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
  • * Perform installation, calibration, and commissioning of a wide range of GE Precision Healthcare medical imaging equipment, including but not limited to Monitoring, Telemetary and Diagnostic Cardiology.
  • * Conduct preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting on complex electrical, mechanical, and software-driven systems.
  • * Diagnose and repair intricate technical issues, often involving detailed circuit analysis, system diagnostics, and software debugging.
  • * Provide on-site technical support to customers, including responding to service calls, resolving technical problems efficiently, and offering operational guidance.
  • * Collaborate with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to understand equipment performance needs and optimize system functionality.
  • * Maintain accurate and detailed service records, documentation, and reports using company-provided tools and systems.
  • * Manage assigned inventory of parts, tools, and test equipment, ensuring proper calibration and availability.
  • * Participate in advanced product training and continuous learning to stay current with GE Precision Healthcare's evolving technology.
  • * Adhere to all company safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including those related to medical devices.
  • * Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced field engineers.
  • * Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional conduct, effective communication, and exceptional service delivery.
  • * Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, service contract renewals, and other sales leads.

Job Qualifications:
  • * Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • * Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex medical imaging equipment, preferably with GE Healthcare products.
  • * Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing sophisticated electronic, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems.
  • * Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical applications related to medical imaging.
  • * Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to non-technical personnel.
  • * Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing high-quality service.
  • * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within an assigned service territory, including overnight stays as required.
  • * Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various hospital and clinic environments.
  • * Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO).
  • * Proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
