Job description

SIS Schedules and Grades Coordinator

Role Mission:

As the SIS (Student Information System)SchedulesandGradesCoordinator, you willserve as the compliance expert forimplementation of the grading policy and be responsible for ensuring accuracy of student schedules androsters for College Prep campuses across the district. The SISSchedulesandGradesCoordinatorsupports the Director of SIS Operations - Academic Systems whoserves as the compliance expert forimplementation of the grading policy, accuracy of student schedules androsters,auditing ofcourse catalogs, studentgrades, progress reports, transcripts and report cards within the scope of Student Information Systems for the four States: Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Ohio Schools. In addition, you will drive quality within your team's efforts toensure regulatory, statutory, and contractual compliance in these areas.

Location:

This is a full-time remote position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.

What You'll Do - Accountabilities

Essential Duties:

  • Ensures the accuracy and compliance of student schedules, grades, transcripts, report cards, and course records by developing processes, conducting audits, monitoring data quality, and providing guidance to campuses across all supported states.
  • Drives Beginning-of-Year readiness by overseeing course catalogs, master schedules, student schedules, rosters, and gradebooks to ensure campuses are prepared prior to the first day of school.
  • Develops and delivers training, resources, and ongoing support for Registrars and campus staff to strengthen implementation of grading policies, scheduling processes, transcript management, and data accuracy practices.
  • Partners with school leaders, college counseling teams, and campus staff to support master schedule development, resolve complex scheduling and transcript issues, and ensure compliance with state and local requirements.
  • Promotes high levels of customer service and operational excellence by responding to escalated support requests, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve SIS-related issues, and leveraging data analysis to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with student information systems (PowerSchool, Focus, TREx, and various other state databases)
  • Experience with TX high school transcripts strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of K-12 studentschedules, grades, andcourses
  • Proficient of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Experience conducting research and understanding of data-based principals and data analysis
  • Efficient and effective in managing multiple and meeting deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to multitask and troubleshoot
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members in the district and with staff in other districts

Additional Skills:

Required Education and Experience:

Education: Associate's degree
Experience in K-12 education administration

  • A minimum of five years in student information systems or similar role with a record of results

Preferred Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in K-12 education administration

  • A minimum of five years in student information systems or similar role with a record of results

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • The ability to travel and to work in front of the computer for long period of times

What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $25.77/hr and $32.23/hr, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
