Position Summary:

Hands of Hope Behavioral Health is seeking a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for its outpatient clinic. The LPC or LCSW must be able to work efficiently with Spanish speaking clients. Additionally, this is a salary position that primarily places the LPC or LCSW within office hours in our Dallas office and on call outside of office hours for other clinical duties.

Hands of Hope is a behavioral Health company based in Dallas. We service the Dallas area along with Kaufman, Ellis, Rockwall, Navarro, Hunt, and Collin counties. We specialize in behavioral health services aimed to support our client's mental health and promote well-being. We provide services to children, teens, adults, and elders. Offering Telehealth and in-person counseling to reach our clients in all needed aspects. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) you will be responsible for providing professional counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups experiencing mental health challenges. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health and wellness goals.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday (9:00 am-5:00 pm) & possible weekends

This is a salary position, requiring you to adapt to when we need assessments, treatment plans, supervision meetings, and other duties to be performed.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, emotional needs, and treatment goals.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and clients' strengths, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Provide individual, group, family, or couples counseling using evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, or solution-focused therapy.
  • Offer crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health crises or emotional distress.
  • Educate clients about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and wellness practices to enhance self-awareness and resilience.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment notes, treatment plans, progress updates, and billing information, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and refer them to appropriate resources, such as psychiatric services, support groups, or community organizations.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and best practices in counseling through continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing counseling practice, including maintaining client confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, and addressing ethical dilemmas as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Work (LSCW) required.
  • Must be Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Requirements for fluency in Spanish, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to provide culturally relevant counseling services
  • The need for experience working with diverse populations and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by the Hispanic/Latino communities
  • Experience providing counseling services to diverse populations, including individuals of different ages, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic statuses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-based environment.
