Work Environment

This role will be conducted in a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing you to provide counseling services from the comfort of your home while ensuring flexibility in your work schedule. You will use state-of-the-art telecommunication platforms to connect with patients, enabling effective treatment and support regardless of physical distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist primary care providers by identifying and addressing mental health and psychosocial issues, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, and communicate treatment recommendations effectively to primary care providers.
• Provide brief, focused therapeutic interventions that cater to the immediate mental health needs of patients.
• Implement follow-up strategies to monitor patient progress and determine necessary adjustments to their treatment plans.
• Create relapse prevention plans and employ strategies to stabilize patients experiencing exacerbations of their conditions.
• Evaluate "at risk" patients and initiate preventive plans tailored to mitigate further complications.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers and, with patient consent, external resources to ensure comprehensive behavioral health care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with agency and healthcare standards.
• Educate patients on self-management skills and promote healthier lifestyle choices.
• Provide insightful consultations regarding behavioral services and contribute to program evaluations in consultation with clinic management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will support a diverse patient population, including individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a facilitator of mental health services, you will focus on fostering a supportive environment for patients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health challenges. Your work will contribute significantly to helping patients reclaim their mental health and bolster their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• Current, valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License.
• Expertise in mental health assessments, treatment planning, and developmental psychopathology.
• Demonstrable knowledge of various therapeutic methodologies, including family and group therapy, as well as child psychotherapy.
• Strong ability to assess individual patient needs and formulate appropriate treatment interventions.
• Proficient use of electronic health records (EHR) for documentation and progress tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication with our diverse patient population.
• Previous experience in a telehealth setting, including familiarity with telehealth technologies and patient engagement strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

Crossbend Behavioral Center PC offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
