Overview

A warm and welcoming family relocating from Australia to the United States is seeking a proactive, organized, and experienced Live-In Household Manager / Housekeeper to support their household during an important family transition. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys creating order, managing a home independently, and helping a family settle into a new environment.

This role is heavily focused on housekeeping and household management responsibilities while also assisting the mother with childcare throughout the day as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident working independently while anticipating the needs of a busy household.

The family will officially relocate in August 2026 and would like someone to begin in late May or June to help oversee household preparations, coordinate deliveries, organize the home, and ensure everything is in place prior to their arrival.

Living Accommodations

This is a live-in position offering private accommodations adjacent to the main home, including:

  • Private bedroom
  • Private living room/lounge area
  • Separate entrance for added privacy

Responsibilities

  • Oversee household setup and preparations prior to the family’s relocation
  • Accept and organize deliveries, furniture installations, and household items
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall organization of the home
  • Laundry care including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and wardrobe organization
  • Change linens and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, and common spaces
  • Organize kitchens, closets, children’s play areas, and storage spaces
  • Assist with household inventory management and supplies
  • Run occasional errands as needed
  • Assist the family with childcare support as needed throughout the day
  • Support school routines, meal preparation, and children’s organization when needed
