Company X owned by TINE SA, is a leading marketer of specialty food brands in the United States. Company X personnel total 220 full time employees in various departments of production, distribution, marketing, accounting, and sales. Regional sales offices are in Montreal, Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, New Jersey and Pennsylvania with the corporate office in Darien, Connecticut. TINE SA is Norway's largest producer, distributor, and exporter of dairy products with 11,400 members (owners) and 9,000 cooperative farms.
Job Description:
The Northeast Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position has a focus on sales development and execution for Jarlsberg Cheese and our other represented brands in the Northeast United States. The position requires experience with managing regional accounts sales, administration and broker networks over a broad base of product lines. The successful candidate will possess the ability to develop and implement sales programs across all sectors of business, coordinate sales and marketing opportunities with industry broker networks in the region. This position will call on key regional accounts to increase sales as well as selling products to grocery deli departments and other specialty Cheese retailers.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in the Sales - Retail Grocery sector is key for this position.
  • 2-4 years of selling experience in a Regional Sales Position
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts across a wide range of product lines.
  • Develop promotional sales objectives in line with company budgets and KPI objectives.
  • Implement programs with product buyers – brokers across all sectors of assigned region.
  • Manage marketing- trade administration functions in coordination with account opportunities.
  • Candidate must be proficient in presenting – creating sales presentations for sales calls.
  • Possess a Strong understanding of key metrics (AC Nielsen - IRI) data to support sales and marketing applications.
  • Have a basic understanding of how to manage trade marketing funds to meet a volume and profit objective.
  • Developing KPI for Brokers and managing performance.
  • Working with brokers to support sales – marketing opportunities.
  • Travel is a requirement for this position, based on 40% travel.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required. (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Education: 4 year – Undergraduate Degree Required
  • Candidate must live in their assigned market
