Job description

Company Description

The Red Bull Athlete Performance Center (APC) is an athlete accelerator that unlocks breakthrough performance and an unfair advantage for Red Bull athletes and corporate projects. We are seeking a Strength & Conditioning Coach responsible for delivering world-class strength, conditioning, rehab, and athlete development programs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary APC team. This role owns the quality of the training experience inside the APC, including program design, athlete engagement, session flow, coaching, and the overall standard of execution in the training center. In addition to in-center training this role is responsible for helping extend APC's athlete performance support into field-based, remote, camp, and competition environments.

Job Description

ATHLETE PERFORMANCE SUPPORT

Daily work with Red Bull athletes on training and testing activations in the APC as well as 'in the field'.

Engagement with athletes and coaches to refine the shared understanding of sport demands, athlete needs, assessment findings, training goals / KPIs, and comprehensive performance plans.

Collaborate with multiple disciplines, including physical therapy, performance science, nutrition, mental performance, and business operations to prioritize athlete-centered outcomes and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.

Support daily efforts in data collection, analysis, and reporting as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and technologies.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION

Design and implement comprehensive strength & conditioning and rehabilitation programs according to the APC performance philosophy and framework.

Enhance the APC training center experience, ensuring sessions are organized, high-energy, athlete-centered, professionally delivered, and aligned with world-class performance standards.

Coach multiple daily training sessions and effectively communicate complex concepts simply and understandably to athletes.

Continuously adapt training plans based on athlete feedback, performance data, monitoring insights, rehab status, and evolving sport demands.

Build trusting relationships with key athletes and stakeholders for individualized problem solving, performance planning, and implementation of innovative performance solutions.

Contribute to elevating the overall expertise of the program by proactively engaging in continuous learning, professional development, and research partnerships while sharing new insights through presentations and team discussions.

INTEGRATION OF IN-FIELD AND REMOTE SUPPORT

Extend APC athlete performance support beyond the facility through field-based training, remote programming, athlete check-ins, camp support, and competition-adjacent preparation.

Collaborate with sport coaches, external practitioners, athlete managers, and APC staff to ensure training recommendations are realistic, coordinated, and executable outside the APC.

Translate APC testing, monitoring, and performance insights into practical field-based interventions, training modifications, and return-to-performance progressions.

Ensure in-field and remote support maintain the same standards of clarity, professionalism, and athlete-centered care as in-center APC services.

Qualifications

Required:

Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, or related field.

Recognized strength and conditioning certification (CSCS).

3+ years of experience in professional / elite high performance training environments.

Strong understanding of training theory, periodization, strength and power development, speed and conditioning, athlete development, and reconditioning.

Proven experience designing and delivering group-based and individual strength and conditioning programs for athletes across diverse sports, goals, injury histories, and performance needs.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex training concepts to athletes, coaches, and interdisciplinary performance team members in a clear and practical manner.

Flexibility to occasionally work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred:

Advanced degree in exercise science or related field and additional knowledge, experience, or certification in a complementary field such as sports science, nutrition, or mental performance.

Experience supporting athletes in travel-heavy, camp, competition, or remote training environments.

Background as a high-level competitive athlete.
