The Community Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. While this role operates primarily in a remote setting, our outpatient office located in Macon, Georgia, serves as a base for collaboration and team meetings. Our dedicated team works Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, prioritizing work-life balance and job satisfaction.

• Conduct thorough cultural assessments to inform personalized treatment plans that respect the unique experiences of each patient.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), adjusted for cultural relevance.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a wide array of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinicians to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention, support, and safety planning during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about mental health disorders and treatment procedures, connecting them with community resources and support networks.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous cultural competency training.
• Stay updated on current research and trends in therapy to consistently improve practice standards.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at our center, you will serve a diverse client population, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, immigrants, and others who traditionally face barriers to access. Your work will directly impact the mental health and wellness of these communities, allowing for meaningful engagement and collaborative treatment.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• A strong commitment to cultural competency and inclusive therapeutic practices.
• Proficient in crisis intervention and managing high-stress situations with professionalism and calmness.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of clients.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and related healthcare software systems.
• Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics in all aspects of work.
• Ability to collaborate efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience working with multicultural populations and implementing culturally tailored treatments.
• Demonstrated success in facilitating group therapy sessions or community workshops.
• Advanced knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.
• Prior involvement in professional development activities and cultural competency training.
