What is remote real estate lead generation?

Remote real estate lead generation is the process of identifying and attracting potential clients interested in buying, selling, or renting properties, all while working from a location outside of a traditional office. This typically involves using online marketing strategies, social media, email campaigns, and specialized software to find and nurture leads for real estate agents or agencies. Professionals in this role may also qualify leads by conducting initial outreach and gathering information about their needs. Working remotely allows for greater flexibility and access to a broader range of markets. Successful lead generation is crucial for maintaining a steady flow of business in the real estate industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote real estate lead generation specialist?

To thrive as a Remote Real Estate Lead Generation Specialist, you need strong research abilities, digital marketing knowledge, and experience with CRM platforms, often supported by a background in sales or marketing. Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and various lead generation and email marketing platforms is typically required. Excellent communication, persistence, and organizational skills help you engage prospects and manage multiple leads efficiently. These skills are essential for consistently identifying, nurturing, and converting potential clients, which drives sales and business growth in a competitive real estate market.

What are some common challenges faced in remote real estate lead generation, and how can they be addressed?

One common challenge in remote real estate lead generation is building trust and rapport with potential clients without face-to-face interaction. Overcoming this requires strong communication skills, prompt responses, and leveraging digital tools like video calls and personalized email follow-ups. Job Title: Estimator III
Location: Appleton, WI, Hybrid, Remote
Company: The Boldt Company – National Power & Industrial
Anticipated Salary Range: $108,000 - $143,000

At Boldt, we build more than complex projects, and we build strong relationships, great teams, and lasting impact.

As an Estimator III, you’ll play a key role in helping project teams plan, price, and deliver successful work across power generation and heavy industrial market sectors and contract delivery methods. This role supports a OneBoldt approach by developing reliable estimates, coordinating internal and external estimating resources, and helping teams make informed decisions that support project success and planned profitability.

In this role, you’ll lead and support detailed and conceptual estimating efforts, review drawings and specifications, prepare bid documents, participate in estimate presentations, manage bid solicitation, evaluate proposals, and collaborate with project teams, trade partners, owners, and design partners. You’ll also contribute to target value design, risk and opportunity reviews, cost modeling, and the transition of estimate information to project teams—bringing both technical estimating expertise and a relationship-focused mindset to the work.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $108,000 - $143,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

At Boldt, high performance starts with strong relationships. We believe the best projects are delivered by teams that trust each other, communicate openly, and take ownership from the field to the office. Our culture blends accountability with support; where learning, mentorship, and collaboration, power results. You won’t just contribute to projects that matter; you’ll grow alongside people who are investing in your success.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered.
  • Five to eight years of estimating experience, estimating large power generation or heavy industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating processes, including labor, material, equipment, subcontracting, general conditions, requirements, insurance, fees, permits, contingencies, and scope development.
  • Experience preparing detailed and conceptual estimates, including cost models and estimate deliverables.
  • Experience with negotiated GMP and lump sum/hard bid project delivery methods.
  • Understanding of MasterFormat and Uniformat construction coding.
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, database-based estimating software, takeoff software, and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
