Job description

The Team

ConvergeCONSUMER is a product-driven business that combines differentiated consumer insights with robust prediction and optimization capabilities to help consumer-focused businesses improve decision-making and deliver personalized experiences to drive growth, consumer loyalty, and profitability. We operate with the speed and agility of a startup within the world's largest professional services firm.

We drive value for our clients by optimizing decisions and actions at a level of granularity only made possible with today's data and technology. ConvergeCONSUMER's suite of solutions helps consumer-facing businesses prosper in a world being re-shaped by convergence, where the lines between industries, competitors and collaborators, consumers and suppliers, and even human and artificial intelligence have blurred. Our approach for addressing this complexity is simple: we combine Deloitte's next-generation technology platforms with decades of experience in the consumer sector and a deep understanding of its unique issues and challenges to drive profitability and future growth for our clients.

Position Summary

Cloud Engineering & Deployment, Expert Services

Are you a hands-on cloud engineer who thrives on turning complex deployments into smooth, repeatable rollouts? As a Product Installation Engineer with ConvergeCONSUMER, you'll bring our suite of AI-driven products to life inside the cloud environments of some of the world's most influential consumer businesses. If you enjoy solving real infrastructure problems under real client conditions, we'd like to talk with you.

Recruiting for this role ends on 9/30/2026.

Work you'll do

As the Product Installation Engineer within Expert Services, you will be responsible for installing one of a suite of applications, all following the same pattern of containerized applications with a React front end and Python business logic, into clients' cloud environments or on-premises data centers. This role requires hands-on expertise in instantiating and managing containerized applications, with a strong focus on cloud engineering, infrastructure provisioning, observability, and traceability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and deploy containerized applications into clients' cloud environments or data centers.
  • Manage and maintain containerized applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering and security organizations to ensure infrastructure is provisioned correctly.
  • Test the basic functionality of cloud applications to declare them open for business.
  • Adapt logging and monitoring hooks to integrate with clients' native operations, ensuring observability and traceability.
  • Assist the developer team with remote debugging and troubleshooting issues.
  • Automate deployment processes to achieve quick time to value for clients.
  • Communicate technical requirements for cloud deployments clearly, including concepts like access groups, roles, permissions, and networking.
  • Work with common cloud infrastructure components such as VPCs, managed services, and storage solutions.
  • Manage data ingress and egress requirements, including moving large datasets within cloud contexts and across cloud instances.
  • Ensure compliance with clients' security and operational standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve deployment practices and processes.

The successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Hands-on approach to deploying and managing containerized applications in complex, client-facing cloud environments, with a strong bias toward reliability, repeatability, and quick time to value.
  • Deep familiarity with cloud infrastructure fundamentals, including VPCs, managed services, storage solutions, access groups, roles, and permissions, and the ability to communicate these concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code instincts, with the ability to automate and standardize deployment processes across varied client environments and data centers.
  • Comfort operating at the intersection of cloud engineering and security, collaborating with client infrastructure and security organizations to ensure compliant, correctly provisioned deployments.
  • Proven ability to adapt observability and monitoring frameworks to client-native operations, ensuring traceability and operational continuity post-deployment.
  • Methodical troubleshooting approach with experience supporting remote debugging and resolving complex deployment issues in collaboration with developer teams.
  • Fluency in data ingress and egress requirements, including the ability to move and manage large datasets within and across cloud environments.
  • Curiosity for emerging cloud technologies and deployment practices, with a continuous improvement mindset that keeps pace with a rapidly evolving infrastructure landscape.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional cloud engineering experience.
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116,200-$229,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
