Job description

Who we are

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Central Ohio, we’re a privately-owned, independent healthcare navigation organization. We believe that no one should have to navigate the cost and complexity of healthcare alone, and we’re on a mission to make healthcare simpler and more effective for our millions of members. Our big-hearted, tech-savvy team fights to ensure that our members get the care they need, when they need it, at the most affordable cost – that’s why we call ourselves Healthcare Warriors®.

The platform combines modern application technologies, APIs, and data services to deliver trusted information that helps clients understand performance, outcomes, and trends.

As the Lead Quality Engineer for the platform, you will be responsible for defining quality strategy, designing automated testing solutions, and establishing engineering practices that ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of both application and data-driven experiences. You will work across frontend applications, backend services, reporting tools, and data platforms while partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an engineer who is passionate about automation, quality-by-design, and delivering high-quality analytics products at scale.
Location: This position is located at our Dublin, OH campus with hybrid flexibility or may work remotely anywhere in the United States of America.

  • Partner with engineering teams to implement automated quality controls within CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments.
  • Develop systems and processes to capture, monitor, and report automated testing results and quality metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and engineering productivity through tooling and process improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define quality expectations.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and solution discussions to ensure applications are scalable, testable, and maintainable.
  • Collaborate with teams building reporting, analytics, and data solutions leveraging Snowflake, PostgreSQL, AWS QuickSight, and other data platform technologies.
  • Communicate quality trends, risks, and recommendations to engineering leadership and business partners.

Product Quality & Release Excellence

  • Establish release readiness criteria and quality gates for production deployments.
  • Measure, monitor, and report on product quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Identify areas of risk and implement mitigation strategies to improve platform stability and user experience.
  • Ensure new features and enhancements meet established quality standards prior to production release.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring (Qualifications)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, software quality engineering, or test automation roles.
