Are you passionate about ensuring data is accurate, trustworthy, and actionable? We're seeking a senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing Data Management & Analytics team.

This is an exciting time to join. SAIF is modernizing its analytics platform, moving toward cloud-native technologies, certified data models, self-service analytics, and stronger data governance. You'll have a unique opportunity to help shape that transformation while influencing how quality is built into our data ecosystem from the ground up.
In this role, you'll help ensure the quality and reliability of the data products that drive business decisions. You'll lead testing and validation efforts for data pipelines, ETL workflows, reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions while championing best practices for data quality across the organization.
Working closely with analysts, data engineers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, you will drive automation initiatives, identify opportunities for process improvement, and help establish a culture where quality is embedded throughout the data lifecycle. You will serve as a trusted advocate for data integrity, ensuring that the data and insights our organization relies on are accurate, consistent, and dependable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Data & Analytics leadership in establishing and executing quality assurance strategies that ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality data and analytics products.

  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, including test plans, test cases, and automated solutions, while performing functional, regression, performance and security testing and leading user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure products meet business and customer requirements prior to release.

  • Partner with data and analytics engineers, product managers, product owners, and business partners to understand requirements, identify risks, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Review product requirements, specifications, and design artifacts to proactively identify quality risks and opportunities for improved testability.

  • Participate in release planning and execution, ensuring quality metrics, test results, and readiness assessments are communicated to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Maintain and continuously improve QA processes, tools, automation frameworks, and best practices to increase testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor application performance, support troubleshooting of production issues, and assist with replicating and diagnosing customer reported defects.

  • Report quality metrics, testing outcomes, and improvement recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Act as a backup quality engineer for other IT functional areas

  • On-call support may be required on an as needed basis or part of a rotating schedule, including availability outside of business hours to support urgent IT issues or system implementations.

  • Explore diverse perspectives and consistently behave sensitively toward differences in cultural norms, expectations, and ways of communicating. Work effectively with others who have different perspectives, backgrounds, and/or work styles.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support team objectives and organizational goals, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving priorities and needs.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five or more years of experience in quality assurance and software testing, including manual and automated testing.

  • Experience testing data and analytics products, including data validation and reporting solutions.

  • Proficiency with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and defect tracking tools, with working knowledge of SQL and Python.

  • Experience collaborating with Agile teams and business partners to deliver highquality solutions.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or related field.

Compensation & Benefits

Typical hiring range: $97,771 - $115,025. The pay range for this position is annually based on a full-time schedule. Actual compensation will be determinedusing factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications & education.
