Position Overview:

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will manage supplier relationships and purchasing activities for Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A) products to support inventory, service level, and customer fulfillment objectives. You will collaborate with suppliers, demand planning analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of products to Polaris distribution facilities. In this role, you will monitor inventory performance, support cost and process improvement initiatives, and resolve supply-related issues that impact product availability. This position offers the opportunity to influence supplier performance, inventory outcomes, and customer service results across a broad product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with assigned suppliers to drive delivery performance and support business objectives.
  • Review and approve purchase order recommendations, ensuring appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand and service targets.
  • Coordinate with demand planning analysts to improve purchasing accuracy and inventory performance.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and expedite orders as needed to support fill rate objectives.
  • Resolve backorder issues and support continuity of supply in alignment with established goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Lead supplier cost and inventory reduction initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Negotiate lead times, order quantities, and cost-related terms with suppliers to support business needs.
  • Analyze and resolve supplier invoicing issues and purchase order discrepancies.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and escalate supply chain risks or urgent issues as appropriate.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve conflicts professionally and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to travel minimally for supplier, distribution center, and dealer visits, including remote outdoor locations.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $64,000 to $80,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
