MUST BE A RESPIRATORY THERAPIST AND LOCAL TO NEWARK/HACKENSACK, NJ AREA.
Job Summary
The Clinical Field Specialist at Inogen plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive equipment tailored to their clinical needs through remote or in-person assessments. This position involves instructing patients on the proper use and maintenance of Inogen-supplied equipment, addressing basic service inquiries, delivering, and setting up equipment, conducting remote or in-person service calls, and coordinating equipment returns. The role is primarily remote, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high professional standards. The Clinical Field Specialist must be able to travel within a 90-mile radius of their assigned location to perform in-person duties.
Responsibilities
  • Perform equipment setup for patients, remotely via telephone or through in-home visits.
  • Execute service calls (remote or in-person) and document activities and outcomes promptly.
  • Maintain an up-to-date calendar reflecting availability for patient appointments.
  • Interact professionally with patients, family members/caregivers, medical staff, and Inogen colleagues.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to support the completion of clinical appointments.
  • Adhere to regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support Inogen's mission.
  • Travel within a 90-mile radius of the assigned location to conduct in-person patient visits and service calls.
  • Delivery Locations include but are not limited to Patient's Home, Hospitals, and Rebab Facilities/Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Flexibility to accommodate deliveries based upon the needs of the business (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Assist with overnight oximetry testing orders.
  • Facilitate Credit Card Payment Authorization through Company Approved Process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in remotely and directly assessing and educating patients on the safe use of Inogen equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of current clinical issues and treatments related to cardio-pulmonary disease processes, as applicable to Inogen's services.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies used in cardio-pulmonary disease treatment relevant to Inogen's offerings.
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage tasks effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel within a 90-mile radius of the assigned location as needed, with personal vehicle.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Licensed or Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical services or the home medical equipment industry (oxygen therapy or respiratory).
  • A combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to the qualifications listed above may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (required).

Inogen assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $31.00 and $36.00 hourly. However, actual base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including as to individual skills, education, experience and market location.
