Position Overview 

We are seeking a skilled Senior Salesforce Developer who is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Salesforce solutions, integrating third-party applications, and providing technical leadership to other developers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Salesforce development, a deep understanding of CRM processes, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions. This position reports to the Manager of Software Development. 


Position Type & Expected Hours of Work  

This is a full-time, exempt employment opportunity with benefits and will be paid on a salary basis. This is not a consulting or contract role. While the position supports in-person or remote work, regular dedicated hours are required, and the role involves frequent collaboration with others in on-camera meetings.

General Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop custom applications, integrations, and workflows on the Salesforce platform, with a focus on Education Cloud features. 
  • Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, code review, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding and system architecture. 
  • Customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, and record types to meet business requirements. 
  • Develop Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Omnistudio components. 
  • Implement and maintain API integrations between Salesforce and external systems. 
  • Write and maintain unit tests and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality deliverables. 
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, customizations, and integrations. 
  • Stay updated on Salesforce releases and best practices to optimize and maintain system performance. 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Provisioning sandboxes, source control (GitHub), managing CI/CD pipelines and deployments. 


Requirements 

  • Proficiency in ApexVisualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC). 
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecturedata model, and security model
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP)  
  • Knowledge of SOQL and SOSL queries. 
  • Familiarity with Flows, triggers, and automations 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to work in Agile environments and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification  
  • Experience with Experience Cloud 
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with stakeholders and team members. 
  • Ability to manage complex security models and oversee data integrity within the Salesforce environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands  

The duties of this job are mainly performed in a regular office environment with occasional small trips outdoors.
