This is a production-oriented role requiring hands-on TIRKS experience and a strong understanding of Layer 1 telecommunications circuits. The selected professional will use engineering-provided circuit requirements to create, update, validate, and maintain accurate circuit layout records, facility assignments, equipment information, and related network documentation.

• Enter and maintain circuit paths, equipment assignments, ports, channels, facilities, cross-connects, and infrastructure records

• Process internal network orders accurately and within established SLA, productivity, and quality requirements

• Review circuit information for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before completing orders

• Identify and communicate discrepancies involving circuit routing, equipment, facilities, ports, channels, or network inventory

• Collaborate with Network Planning, Engineering, Provisioning, Installation, and Testing teams to clarify requirements and resolve order issues

• Support circuit records across DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet, IP, switched-access, special-access, local-loop, and long-haul transport environments

• Enter or maintain DACS cross-connect and transport-facility information as required

• Manage an assigned order queue while meeting productivity, accuracy, quality, and on-time performance expectations

• Maintain accurate network infrastructure records across applicable telecommunications inventory and provisioning systems

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least two years of hands-on TIRKS experience

• Experience creating, updating, validating, or maintaining circuit layout records in TIRKS

• Knowledge of Layer 1 telecommunications circuits, transport paths, facility assignments, equipment records, ports, channels, and cross-connects

• Experience processing telecommunications network orders or circuit-provisioning requests

• Working knowledge of DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet, or IP transport technologies

• Ability to interpret engineering-provided circuit requirements and accurately translate them into TIRKS records

• Experience managing a production-oriented order queue with SLA, productivity, quality, or accuracy expectations

• Strong attention to detail, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering, planning, and implementation teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience creating or redesigning complete Layer 1 circuit layouts

• Experience with OMNIvue, WMS, WFMT, BOSS, Granite, MetaSolv, or other telecommunications inventory systems

• Experience resolving discrepancies between circuit records and network inventory systems

• Familiarity with EIRG/FIRG records or related engineering and facility documentation

• Knowledge of Ciena, Fujitsu, or Alcatel-Lucent optical networking equipment

• Experience with DACS cross-connects, special access, switched access, or carrier transport networks

• Knowledge of inside-plant fiber-optic structured wiring and network infrastructure

• Previous experience supporting a telecommunications carrier or large transport network

SCHEDULE
