Job Description

POSTING DETAILS:   ProSidian Consulting is seeking a Marketing & Proposal Manager to collaborate with the firm's engagement and pursuit teams on various Business Development initiatives.  Successful candidates will team with other professional staff to produce successful responses to formal proposals and to improve target pursuit materials.  The Marketing & Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing the RFP/pursuit process, including: development of proposal plans and strategies; writing content and customizing boilerplate to answer questions in a dynamic and responsive manner; leading the effort to review, update, edit and submit proposals in a timely manner, and creating presentations for client orals/interview meetings and follow-up sessions.

POSTING TYPE: Interested in applications for full time and contract work - This can be a Contract W-2 Position

The Marketing & Proposal Manager will provide support on the creation of other less formal pitch materials, when necessary.  This position can reside in any of the following locations and surrounding areas:  Houston, TX, Atlanta GA; Washington DC; Charlotte NC; Ft. Lauderdale FL; New York, NY.  Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore MD, Alexandria VA.  The Marketing & Proposal Manager shall reports to and has shared accountability to the Business Development, Practice Area Leadership, and Solution Teams. 

Responsibilities include (a) analyzing opportunities and competitive factors to determine when/how to pursue an RFP; (b) preparing research materials/executive briefings to lead a strategy discussion of each opportunity with partners; (c) working with Business Development, Practice Area Leadership, and Solution Teams to develop tailored, compelling responses to RFPs and other pitch materials; and (d) debriefing with the Business Development, Practice Area Leadership, and Solution Teams to assess the results and gather competitive intelligence.  This competitive intelligence will be used to consistently inform how ProSidian Consulting approaches and develops RFPs, with the goal of increasing its win rate.  In addition, the ProSidian Consulting Proposal Managers will collaborate on the development of reports/databases to track wins/losses.

This position requires a mature, confident professional who can work well with all levels of people and who enjoys being part of a dynamic team.  Candidates should possess excellent written (including editing) and verbal communications skills, as well as demonstrated project management capabilities, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and to manage numerous competing priorities.  The position provides significant support to ProSidian Managing Principal and requires flexibility in work schedule to support demands across time zones. 

Additionally, strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational and research skills are important.  Candidates should possess an excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; have experience with the use of CRM/contact databases, preferably with Nimble CRM and Salesforce.com.  Experience with online research databases such as Capital IQ, Merger Market, FedBizOpps, Bid Sync, and/or other web-based research tools are preferred.  Experience with proposal generation systems and/or desktop publishing is a plus.  Must have 6-8 years of experience in Proposal Management in professional services, preferably with a professional services firm.  Bachelor's degree is required.  ProSidian is interested in applications for full time and contract work.  Please specify preference when applying.

Key Contributor:  as the Marketing & Proposal Manager you will manage both large and mid-size project proposals relating to management and operations solutions provided by ProSidian that impact major business lines or functions. 

This position will be responsible for end to end planning, implementation, training and adoption across the enterprise, technology, operations and support functions.

You will direct and manage overall project status, budget, resources, change controls and risks.  You will partner with the Business, Technology and Functional Teams to deliver objectives.

Some may also have significant impact on the ability a department to effectively deliver services or operate efficiently.  All require cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate project status to senior management
  • Must be able to translate plans/policies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables
