What is a remote property manager?

A remote property manager is a professional who oversees and manages real estate properties from a location other than the property itself, often working from home or a central office. Their responsibilities typically include coordinating maintenance and repairs, handling tenant communications, processing rent payments, and ensuring compliance with property regulations. They use digital tools and platforms to perform their duties efficiently without being physically present at the property. This role is especially common for managing multiple properties or properties located in different regions.

What does a remote property manager do?

As a remote property manager, you handle the day-to-day management of a rental property from a remote or virtual location. Your responsibilities typically include explaining lease terms to a new tenant, coordinating any maintenance of the buildings and grounds, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as necessary. You also oversee tax requirements as necessary. You are essentially a landlord with all of the associated duties but are home-based. You may work with a real estate agent to find renters for a site, or you have more than one client and manage several properties.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote property manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Property Manager, you need a solid understanding of property management practices, leasing regulations, and financial oversight, usually supported by relevant experience or a real estate/property management certification. Familiarity with property management software (such as AppFolio or Buildium), virtual communication tools, and digital document management systems is essential. Outstanding organizational skills, proactive communication, and problem-solving abilities are crucial soft skills for managing tenants and coordinating with contractors remotely. These skills and qualities are important to ensure efficient operations, tenant satisfaction, and effective oversight of properties from a distance.

How does a remote property manager effectively handle maintenance issues without being on-site?

As a Remote Property Manager, handling maintenance issues requires strong communication and reliable local partnerships. You’ll typically coordinate with trusted vendors or contractors in the property's area, leveraging digital tools to receive photos, updates, and invoices. Clear protocols and responsive communication with both tenants and service providers are essential for timely resolutions. Building a network of reliable local contacts and using property management software can streamline the entire process, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently even from a distance.

Job description

Solvd US
Our organization is redefining claims management across the auto and property space through a blend of AI innovation, proprietary technology, and expert-led services that deliver measurable results for insurers, fleets, rental, TPAs/MGAs, and adjacent industries.

Our US team combines automation, intelligence, and human expertise to simplify complex processes — accelerating cycle times, reducing costs, and improving outcomes across appraisal, repair, subrogation response, and auto/property estimating. Our solutions help customers move beyond digital claims to a model that’s faster, smarter, and simpler — grounded in data accuracy, transparency, and customer experience.

As part of the Solvd Group, operating in 46+ countries, our mission is to drive results today while shaping the future of claims. From FNOL to final settlement, we connect technology and expertise to deliver precision, performance, and confidence at every stage.

Enterprise Account Manager - Property Insurance

The Enterprise Account Manager is a strategic partner to Solvd's clients within a designated territory, providing sales and account management support across property and auto insurance segments. This role blends relationship leadership, consultative selling, and operational oversight to ensure clients achieve meaningful results through our claims management solutions. You'll own executive‑level relationships, drive account growth, and collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver a seamless customer experience.

This is an ideal role for someone with deep roots in the property insurance or property claims space who communicates with clarity and confidence, and enjoys building long-term partnerships that create measurable business outcomes.

What you'll do:

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise clients across property carriers, TPAs, MGAs, and adjacent industry segments.
  • Develop deep understanding of each customer's property and auto claims operations, challenges, and strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong executive and operational relationships to drive long-term retention and expansion.

Growth & Revenue Ownership

  • Identify opportunities to expand adoption of Solvd's solutions within property and auto claims workflows.
  • Lead renewal cycles, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure alignment with customer goals and Solvd's value proposition.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to forecast account growth and pipeline opportunities, with a focus on property insurer and TPA segments.

Customer Success & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure successful onboarding, implementation, and ongoing performance of Solvd solutions across property and auto estimating workflows.
  • Monitor KPIs such as cycle time reduction, cost savings, accuracy improvements, and workflow efficiency.
  • Proactively address issues, remove barriers, and advocate for customer needs internally.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Operations, Data, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Translate customer feedback — particularly from property carriers and TPAs — into actionable insights that influence product roadmap and service enhancements.
  • Support marketing and thought leadership initiatives by sharing customer success stories and industry insights.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success/operations, or strategic partnerships — preferably within the property insurance or property claims space.
  • Strong background in property insurance, property claims management, estimating, or related disciplines; auto claims experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with property estimating platforms, catastrophe response workflows, repair networks, or subrogation processes in a property context.
  • Demonstrated success selling into or managing accounts with property carriers, TPAs, MGAs, or adjusting firms.
  • Experience with AI‑enabled or SaaS workflow solutions.
  • Background working in high‑growth or startup environments.
  • Proven ability to manage complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and high expectations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive‑level presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret performance metrics, and translate insights into action.

What we offer:

  • A competitive base salary with opportunity for commission.
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, and more.
  • 401(k) plan options.
  • Paid time off, sick time, and paid holidays.
  • A fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy.
  • The opportunity to grow with a dynamic, innovative team in a startup-like culture.
