Remote proofreaders often encounter challenges such as tight deadlines, maintaining focus without in-person supervision, and communicating clearly with clients or editorial teams across different time zones. Regular check-ins via email or virtual meetings can also help ensure alignment and reduce misunderstandings.

What are remote proofreading jobs?

Remote proofreading jobs involve reviewing and correcting written content for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting, all while working from a location outside of a traditional office. Proofreaders ensure that documents, articles, books, or online content are clear and error-free before publication. These jobs are typically suitable for individuals with strong language skills and attention to detail. Remote proofreaders may work as freelancers, contractors, or employees for companies that produce written material. The flexibility of remote proofreading allows people to work from home or any location with internet access.

Perform detailed QA checks covering spelling, punctuation, alignment, layout, and visual balance
Review assets holistically to ensure both visual quality and messaging consistency

Suggest format adaptations and creative approaches to maximize engagement across LinkedIn, email, and web
Support content calendar execution by aligning visual asset production to planned campaign cadences
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with the Product Manager, Marketing Support Specialist and broader team to understand requirements and refine creative outputs
Clearly communicate design decisions and rationale when presenting work
Operate effectively in a feedback-heavy, iterative environment with fast turnaround expectations
Core Requirements:
Strong design skills with proficiency in video editing and motion design

Ability to follow and enforce brand guidelines consistently
Comfortable working in a collaborative, revision-driven environment
Able to operate with high autonomy in a remote environment

Desired Experience
Experience in SaaS, B2B, or technology marketing environments
Familiarity with B2B content formats - LinkedIn, long-form web content, product marketing materials
