  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in our EMR system.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to deliver cohesive mental health care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with advancements in mental health treatment methodologies and telehealth technologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Counselor will work with a diverse array of clients, from adolescents to adults, who may be experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our focus is on creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel supported and understood. By providing patient-centered care, you will help clients develop resilience and coping strategies to improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in mental health counseling or a closely related field is required.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts is essential.
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in mental health counseling, preferably in a clinical or private practice setting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills that foster client relationships and team collaboration.
  • A commitment to ethical practices and continuous learning in the field of mental health.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment models and therapeutic techniques.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and telehealth technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or individuals with complex trauma histories.
  • Familiarity with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other modern therapeutic approaches.
  • Additional certifications related to clinical specialties are advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

Harris Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a 401(k) retirement savings plan, paid time off, and designated holidays, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Employees have access to continued education and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and advance their careers.
