Position Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for leading the planning, design, construction, and execution of healthcare facility projects from concept through occupancy. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with client objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong healthcare project management experience and a passion for creating environments that support exceptional patient care.
  

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead healthcare facility projects through planning, design, construction, and occupancy 
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and overall project performance 
  • Coordinate and lead project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors 
  • Facilitate client communication and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle 
  • Oversee design development, construction documentation, and project quality assurance 
  • Manage contract negotiations, procurement activities, and change order reviews 
  • Monitor construction progress, safety, quality, and infection prevention initiatives 
  • Prepare and present project updates, performance metrics, and executive-level reports 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve client and organizational objectives

Requirements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered 
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive healthcare project management, healthcare construction, or development experience 
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare facility planning, design, construction, and project delivery processes, and regulatory processes
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and consultant relationships 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and client relationship management skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management (e-Builder) software preferred 
  • Ability to analyze project data and develop strategic recommendations
