Role Overview
We are seeking a Program Manager to join a People Risk, Privacy, and Compliance team. This role will lead risk initiatives and be responsible for the end-to-end assessment of employment, privacy, and AI risk in use cases impacting people data. The ideal candidate will possess proven risk management skills and experience leading complex, matrixed company initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deep-dive risk assessments across privacy and employment compliance, focusing on product-facing initiatives.
  • Apply and maintain rigorous risk frameworks to evaluate complex compliance risks.
  • Partner with technical teams to understand product infrastructure and data processing to assess associated risks.
  • Support the People Data Review program, managing high-intensity workflows with attention to detail.
  • Influence product development through "compliance by design" principles to ensure adherence to global protection standards.
  • Lead end-to-end risk assessments for projects involving people data and collaborate with legal teams.
  • Lead the resolution of issues identified during reviews in partnership with legal and cross-functional compliance teams.
  • Develop and own communication plans to report program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and ensure HR compliance is maintained.
  • Define and track key metrics and performance indicators to drive the execution of program deliverables.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in risk assessment, assurance, and compliance management.
  • Expertise in privacy and/or employment compliance and data protection (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • A technical data background, including an understanding of infrastructure and data processing.
  • Risk management or compliance expertise, preferably 2nd line of defense risk management or internal audit experience within a technology company.
  • A background in People Data Privacy and/or User Data Privacy.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments for privacy, employment, security, and AI compliance.
  • Working knowledge or willingness to learn the content and requirements of various employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated data analytical skills and experience working with attention to detail.
  • Experience maintaining working relationships with both engineering and legal partners.
