Remote Program Evaluation Consultant information

What is a remote program evaluation consultant?

A Remote Program Evaluation Consultant is a professional who assesses the effectiveness and impact of programs, policies, or initiatives for organizations from a remote location. They collect and analyze data, develop evaluation frameworks, and provide actionable recommendations to improve program outcomes. This role often involves virtual collaboration with clients, designing surveys or interviews, and preparing detailed reports. Their work helps organizations make informed decisions, demonstrate accountability to stakeholders, and optimize their resources.

How does a remote program evaluation consultant typically collaborate with clients and team members across different locations?

Remote Program Evaluation Consultants often work with geographically dispersed clients and colleagues, requiring strong communication and digital collaboration skills. They commonly use video conferencing, project management tools, and shared documents to coordinate evaluations, gather data, and present findings. Building trust and rapport remotely can be a challenge, so consultants need to be proactive in scheduling regular check-ins, providing clear updates, and ensuring transparency throughout the evaluation process. Flexibility to accommodate different time zones and organizational cultures is also essential for successful collaboration.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote program evaluation consultant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Program Evaluation Consultant, you need expertise in research methods, data analysis, and program assessment, typically supported by an advanced degree in public health, education, or a related field. Familiarity with statistical software (such as SPSS or R), survey tools, and reporting platforms is essential for analyzing outcomes and presenting findings. Strong communication, project management, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for collaborating with clients and managing projects remotely. These skills ensure accurate evaluations, actionable recommendations, and client satisfaction in a flexible virtual work environment.

As a Consultant, Corporate Development on the US Corporate Development team, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Deloitte businesses in refining acquisition priorities aligned to growth strategy
  • Conducting market research and qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform target identification and pipeline development

The Team

This position is part of Deloitte's US Corporate Development (USCD) function. USCD plays a critical role in shaping Deloitte's future by driving the firm's inorganic and organic growth agenda. The team partners with senior leaders across the firm to evaluate, prioritize, and execute strategic investments that strengthen Deloitte's market position and long-term growth trajectory.

USCD operates at the center of strategy, investment execution, and enterprise transformation. Team members work in a high-impact, high-visibility environment, supporting some of the firm's most significant and complex growth initiatives.

In this role, you'll join a cohort of Consultants/Senior Consultants for USCD. As part of this dynamic resourcing pool, you'll be deployed to high priority initiatives and projects across the Corporate Development ecosystem, helping the team adapt to evolving market needs and prioritize the most important areas for the firm.

This is an internal, non-client-facing role with limited travel as needed for business meetings. The team operates in a remote environment, with flexibility to work from home or a local Deloitte office.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, consulting, finance, mergers and acquisitions, or investment evaluation
  • Experience developing presentations for senior stakeholders

  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Experience with market sizing, expert interviews, and survey design
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, investment evaluation, or corporate finance
  • Experience working within Deloitte's business structure and internal processes
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools such as Enterprise GPT or Copilot to support research and productivity

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,600  to $157200.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
