Job Duties:
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Department of Business seeks an exceptional candidate for a position as an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics & Management.
Key Job Responsibilites
  • Teach Business Analytics in addition to teaching across a range of key business and management disciplines such as operations and project management.
  • Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in in-person, synchronous and asynchronous online modes.
  • Leverage innovative pedagogy to develop high-quality classes, syllabi, and coursework in one or more of the following, including: business analytics, artificial intelligence, and operations and project management.
  • Apply relevant AI technologies for developing and teaching courses that address evolving demands in the business and management domain.
  • Support students outside of class; provide feedback to students; provide student grades.
  • Mentor and advise students, supporting their academic and professional development.
  • Serve on department committees; provide assistance with department events; potentially contribute to community projects.
  • Undertake scholarly work; publish in conferences and journals; perform consulting-type activities.

Required Qualifications:
  • PhD/DBA degree in Business Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in business statistics.
  • Proven track record of teaching excellence at the university level.
  • Experience with industry collaboration and applied research.
  • Active scholarship with research publications related to Business Analytics or Management within the last five years (recent PhD/DBA graduates may include their latest work-in-progress so that we can assess their publication potential.)
  • Skills in applying AI tools and techniques in Business Analytics and Management domains.
  • All but Dissertation (ABD) candidates may apply. Doctorate must be completed by start date.
