Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Owner based in Netherlands.

This is a fully remote Product Owner role focused on connecting client needs, business objectives, and technical execution.
You will own the product lifecycle from discovery and roadmap definition through continuous iteration and improvement.
A major part of the role involves building trusted client relationships from initial conversations through long-term partnerships.
You'll translate business requirements into clear product direction while collaborating closely with developers and AI-assisted tools.
The position combines product strategy, stakeholder management, consultative communication, and account growth.
You'll work within a highly distributed international environment alongside professionals across multiple countries and time zones.
This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership while enjoying significant flexibility over where and how you work.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the product lifecycle end-to-end, including discovery, product strategy, roadmap definition, prioritization, delivery, and iteration based on client, user, and market feedback.
  • Lead client interactions from initial discussions and onboarding through ongoing account management, building relationships that support long-term partnerships.
  • Translate client needs, business objectives, and user feedback into clear product requirements and actionable priorities for development teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers and AI-assisted tools to define solutions, clarify requirements, and support effective product delivery.
  • Build prototypes and contribute to product strategy, helping stakeholders visualize solutions and align around product direction.
  • Communicate product value in a consultative manner by educating and advising clients rather than relying on a transactional sales approach.
  • Proactively engage existing accounts to identify issues early, manage expectations, gather feedback, and uncover opportunities for renewal and expansion.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships that contribute to retention, account growth, and referrals.
  • Collect, evaluate, and prioritize feedback from clients, users, internal stakeholders, and market signals to continuously improve the product roadmap.
  • Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring product priorities and business objectives remain aligned throughout the development process.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, with demonstrated experience defining roadmaps, managing backlogs, prioritizing features, and working with development teams.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role involving business development, sales, account management, or consultative relationship building.
  • Demonstrated ability to retain and grow customer accounts over time, rather than focusing solely on new business acquisition.
  • Strong client relationship-building skills and a consultative, customer-first approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex product concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Experience building prototypes and translating early-stage ideas into actionable product strategies and requirements.
  • Comfortable working with AI-assisted tools and incorporating emerging technologies into product development workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully distributed, international team across multiple time zones.
  • Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • A proactive, relationship-oriented mindset with a strong focus on long-term customer success.
  • Nice to have: Previous sales experience, particularly in a consultative environment.
  • Nice to have: Experience working directly with clients in the United States.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work with the freedom to work from anywhere, subject to the requirements of the role and a stable internet connection.
  • Flexible working hours and the ability to choose a preferred time zone and schedule.
  • Hourly compensation with a starting rate negotiable according to skills and experience.
  • Monthly contractor payments via wire transfer.
  • Paid training and access to professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunities to work with modern technologies and AI-assisted tools.
  • Consistent access to engaging and challenging projects within a growing global organization.
  • Annual pay increases based on strong performance.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with an international team spanning more than 60 countries.
  • A flexible, autonomy-driven remote working culture designed to support professional growth.
