Job description

The Director, Product Marketing - MCAT  at Blueprint will hold broad responsibility for leading our product marketing over one of our core verticals, MCAT, responsible for all aspects of our go-to-market motion, and managing the P&L for the vertical. This role holds significant revenue  responsibility, and will be held accountable for developing and achieving revenue targets, while maintaining or improving on established budget thresholds.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the development of go-to-market plans, and monthly and quarterly campaign planning designed to ensure that we're building awareness and converting interest into purchase
  • Serve as a liaison to drive and communicate all marketing-related efforts for the business unit you represent
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and the functional marketers, to ensure seamless alignment and effective execution of product marketing initiatives for your vertical
  • Work closely with our creative team to craft compelling and distinctive product messaging and positioning that resonates with target personas, conveying value and benefits of our product offerings that are as personalized to the persona need state as possible
  • Spearhead product launches by working closely with the product management team to create launch plans, sales training materials, and go-to-market strategies
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to gauge the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, offering data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Serve as an owner or critical participant of the Product Marketing team's cross vertical projects 
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree (required); MBA is a plus
  • 6+ years relevant work experience as a marketing manager at a B2C/D2C company, ideally in education, medical or healthcare related fields
  • Significant experience in ecommerce/growth marketing 
  • Experience in consumer subscription products 
  • Strategic thinker who can develop a quarterly brand plan or product launch marketing plan with little oversight from a VP of Marketing 
  • Ability to lead the discussion of the monthly marketing analytics data and synthesize the data into key insights and action items with little help from others
  • Shown experience developing and executing innovative multi-channel marketing campaigns or product launch- across several marketing channels such as email marketing, content marketing, social, influencers, advertising-  that achieve KPI goals
  • Must have significant experience across several areas of classic marketing (consumer research, turning data and analytics into actionable insights, creating marketing plans and product launch plans, developing unique value propositions, competitor monitoring) 
  • Experience in thinking strategically to write well-developed creative briefs and ability to evaluate the work of creative teams to develop top-rate marketing assets for campaigns
  • Proven success managing marketing and product launch campaigns from inception to completion and measurement that generate leads and hit sales goals
  • Knowledge utilizing owned channels (email, social), organic marketing channels (content marketing, SEO, social) and paid marketing channels (SEM, paid social, advertising) to drive business results
  • Strong vision, a demonstrated history of high velocity execution, and a strategic growth mindset
  • Passion for education and/or  medical/health education
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data, turning it into insights and actions that drive the business forward
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Experience using a project management or task management system to manage others to complete assets or items needed on time
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
