About the Role
We are looking for a Senior MuleSoft Certified Integration Engineer with strong experience in enterprise integration architecture and hands-on development using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The role requires proven expertise in building scalable integrations, APIs, and middleware solutions, with a strong focus on integrating enterprise systems with Salesforce.
Employment Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation Range: $70 - $100 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Build REST and SOAP APIs using API-led connectivity architecture
- Develop reusable integration components and microservices-based architectures
- Integrate Salesforce (including Health Cloud) with ERP, EHR/EMR, databases, and third-party systems
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical integration designs
- Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance integration solutions
- Develop and maintain DataWeave transformations
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production integration environments
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft deployments
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders
Integration & Data Management
- Design scalable data integration solutions across enterprise and healthcare systems
- Manage complex data flows between Salesforce Health Cloud and external applications
- Implement HL7, FHIR, or healthcare-standard APIs for interoperability
- Define data mapping, transformation, and enrichment strategies using DataWeave
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
- Implement real-time, batch, and event-driven integration patterns
- Handle large-scale healthcare and enterprise data using Bulk APIs and batch processing
- Ensure secure handling of sensitive patient and enterprise data
- Implement error handling, retry mechanisms, and data reconciliation processes
- Collaborate on canonical data models and patient 360 data architecture
Development Operations & Performance Optimization
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes
- Monitor APIs and integration flows for performance, availability, and reliability
- Optimize MuleSoft applications for throughput, latency, and resource utilization
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions
- Establish logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks
- Tune API performance via DataWeave optimization and payload management
- Implement caching and asynchronous processing for scalability
- Manage version control and release management of integration assets
- Ensure adherence to DevOps and continuous delivery best practices
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and deployment guides
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Act as a technical lead for MuleSoft integration initiatives across enterprise and healthcare programs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and product owners to define integration strategies and roadmaps
- Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on API-led connectivity and integration best practices
- Mentor and support junior developers and integration engineers on MuleSoft and Salesforce integration patterns
- Drive design reviews, architecture validation, and ensure adherence to enterprise integration standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams for seamless delivery
- Provide technical leadership in resolving complex integration issues and production incidents
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
- Promote reuse of integration components, APIs, and enterprise services across teams
- Ensure alignment of integration solutions with overall enterprise architecture and governance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise integration development
- Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Mandatory MuleSoft certification (Developer / Integration Professional / Architect)
- Proven experience integrating with Salesforce (including Health Cloud)
- Strong knowledge of API-led connectivity architecture
- Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and web services
- Strong DataWeave expertise
- Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk, Composite, Streaming APIs)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills
Good to Have
- Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Event-driven architecture (Kafka, MQ, etc.)
- OAuth 2.0, JWT, API security standards
- Healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
- Salesforce Health Cloud implementation exposure
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
Certifications:
- MuleSoft Certified Developer (Mule 4) OR MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect / Professional Certification (Required)
- Salesforce Health Cloud Consultant (Preferred)
- Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant (Preferred)
- Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant (Preferred)
- Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant (Preferred)
- Salesforce Platform Developer II (Preferred)
