Job description

Help Deliver the Future of Usage-Based Billing

LogiSense is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager who is commercially minded, highly organized, and energized by the opportunity to build a modern procurement function from the ground up. This role will help strengthen how we source, negotiate, govern, and manage the software, cloud, technology, and operational services that support our business.

Reporting directly to our VP, Finance & Treasurer, you will have the opportunity to function strategically with executive visibility and accountability for driving procurement strategy and enterprise value. You will own vendor and contract lifecycle management across LogiSense, with a primary focus on SaaS, cloud, technology, and operational service providers. You will also support broader enterprise procurement initiatives, including compliance vendors, audit and SOC engagements, operational services, and strategic third-party partnerships.

At LogiSense, we believe billing should be simple and transparent. Our cloud-based billing and monetization platform helps innovative companies automate and scale complex usage-based and subscription billing models across telecommunications, cloud services, SaaS, and technology industries. The systems behind that mission must be scalable, secure, and commercially sound - and this role will help make that possible.

Why Join LogiSense?

  • Remote-first culture with the flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada
  • A high-visibility role with direct partnership with Executive Leadership and the VP of Finance & Treasurer
  • The opportunity to build procurement policies, processes, governance, and reporting from the ground up
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that values accountability, balance, practical problem solving, and continuous improvement
  • Exposure to modern SaaS and cloud technology ecosystems, with the ability to make a measurable impact

The Role

As Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will centralize and strengthen procurement operations across LogiSense. You will lead sourcing and negotiation activities, manage renewals and contract obligations, improve procurement governance, and provide the spend analytics leaders need to make informed decisions.

You will work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Security, Tech Ops, Product, Engineering, and business leaders to balance cost optimization, operational scalability, compliance, and vendor risk. You will also help improve Procure-to-Pay practices and reduce shadow IT and unmanaged software spend.

At LogiSense, we live by three core values: Be good. Seek balance. Get paid. They guide everything we do - and we hope they resonate with you too.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Vendor & Contract Lifecycle Management

  • Own the end-to-end vendor contract lifecycle, including new vendor search, renewals, true-ups, amendments, and terminations
  • Manage relationships with software, cloud, technology, compliance, audit, and operational service providers
  • Maintain a centralized repository of vendor agreements and procurement documentation
  • Build and manage a forward-looking renewal calendar that tracks notice periods and pricing changes, supports adequate negotiation lead time, and eliminates unplanned auto-renewals
  • Track and enforce SLAs, performance commitments, and material contractual obligations
  • Coordinate vendor performance reviews, escalation management, consolidation, and rationalization initiatives

Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation

  • Lead sourcing activities for SaaS, cloud, IT, and other enterprise purchases
  • Lead negotiations for renewals and new purchases, benchmark pricing against market rates, and drive favorable commercial outcomes
  • Partner with department leaders to evaluate purchasing needs, vendor options, and business requirements
  • Support RFP and RFQ processes and coordinate cross-functional evaluation teams where appropriate
  • Identify opportunities for license rationalization, cost optimization, vendor consolidation, and spend reduction
  • Build total cost of ownership models to support buy-versus-build-versus-consolidate decisions

Procurement Governance & Operations

  • Define and enforce procurement policies, vendor evaluation criteria, preferred vendor lists, onboarding checklists, and approval workflows
  • Improve procurement intake, purchasing standardization, and documentation practices
  • Coordinate with Finance on purchase requests, purchase orders, budgeting, and invoice validation
  • Maintain vendor risk assessments, including data security, SOC 2 compliance, privacy, and business continuity considerations
  • Coordinate legal, security, privacy, and compliance reviews for new vendors
  • Support audit requests, procurement compliance activities, and operational improvements within the Procure-to-Pay process

Financial & Spend Analytics

  • Track software utilization, license consumption, contract commitments, and vendor spend trends
  • Build reporting and dashboards related to technology spending and renewals
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for software and cloud expenditures
  • Identify and quantify variance between contracted spend and actual usage to surface savings opportunities and risk
  • Support total cost of ownership, ROI, cost allocation, and business-case evaluations

Expertise and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or technology purchasing, with demonstrated experience leading vendor negotiations and procurement initiatives
  • Direct experience managing SaaS and/or cloud vendor contracts, including renewals, true-ups, multi-year agreements, and licensing models
  • Strong negotiation, commercial analysis, and financial modeling skills
  • Advanced comfort using Excel to build spend models, cost allocations, forecasts, and decision-support analyses
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior executives and cross-functional leaders
  • Experience establishing or significantly building a procurement or vendor management function where limited structure previously existed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience working in a B2B SaaS or technology company
  • Familiarity with infrastructure, cloud marketplaces, and SaaS licensing models
  • Experience with procurement, ERP, or contract management platforms such as Sage Intacct, Airbase, Coupa, ContractSafe, or similar tools
  • Experience supporting remote-first organizations
  • Working knowledge of procurement governance, contract lifecycle management, vendor risk, SOC 2, and compliance requirements

Find Your Balance With Us

Flexible Work, Built Around You

  • Choose where and how you work: remote-first, in-office, or hybrid - whatever supports your lifestyle and productivity

Well-Being & Growth

  • Generous paid time off, holidays, and a company-wide holiday shutdown
  • Dedicated time and funding for personal learning, certifications, and professional development
  • A collaborative and respectful environment where you can grow - and help others grow too
  • Challenging, high-impact work that expands your scope, skill set, and influence

Get Paid What You're Worth

  • A competitive salary within the approved range of $100,000 - $120,000 with RRSP matching
