Job Scope
The Senior Loan Processor is the main point of contact with the Shea Mortgage Customer from the point of loan approval through funding. The Senior Loan Processor will focus on gathering documentation from the Customer and third parties to meet loan all requirements with a high level of service and quality. A Senior Processor must have knowledge of new construction purchase loans consisting of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and non-conforming jumbo loans, as responsibilities will stretch across these specialized loan types.
Job Duties
  • Communicate directly with Borrowers that Processor is main point of contact for their loan following loan approval.
  • Communicate documentation requirements to borrowers and follow up to ensure timely loan receipt of conditions
  • Order all processing documents in a timely manner and review documents for compliance with company standards
  • Review DU or LP findings to ensure loan submission matches documentation in file
  • Review and submit credit and property conditions to Underwriting
  • Return phone calls and emails to borrowers with 4 hours of receipt
  • Maintain Loan Notes and Critical Path Report comments to keep other parties informed
  • Prepare loan for closing utilizing Closing Checklist
  • Maintain proactive communication with Borrowers to keep them informed throughout the loan process.

Special Requirements
  • Three years work experience required, preferably with one year related work experience in residential mortgage lending or 1st Trust Mortgage or Home Equity processing/closing
  • Good analytical and math skills required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Computer skills required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and use a telephone and personal computer. May be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
