Position Overview:
  • This job is 100% on-site in Columbia, SC.
  • Our direct client has an opening for a   Business Analyst rec 11186-1.
  • This position is 12 months, with the option of extension, and is in the following locations in Columbia, SC.
  • Please send rate and resume. W2 only.
Required:
  • 5 years’ experience in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties.
  • 5 years’ experience eliciting, mining, and documenting business rules, processes.
  • 3 years Medicaid or healthcare experience.
  • Superb written and oral communications skills, including the ability to write requirements and Use Cases.
  • Experience and ability to obtain business processes and requirements information by interviewing business personnel and by mining laws, regulations, and policy documents.
  • Knowledge of formal business process documentation.
  • Understanding of business modeling techniques, including the use of graphical process flow software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to executive management, line management, project management, and team members. 
Preferred:
  • General Subject Matter Expertise as it relates to Medicaid or other healthcare insurance experience (project or operations)
  • Salesforce and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Microsoft Office Project/Project Server
REQUIRED EDUCATION: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field.
  • Equivalent experience in business/systems analysis and/or computer systems development/modification may be substituted.
  • Written Communication Skills Yes 2 Advanced Currently Using 2 - 4 Years.
  • Business modeling techniques Yes 2 Advanced Currently Using 2 - 4 Years.
  • Experience in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 2 - 4 Years.
  • Miscellaneous Government experience Yes 1.    
  • MMIS - Medicaid Management Information System Medicaid No 4 Intermediate.
