Job description

ABOUT GO CAR WASH

GO Car Wash opened its first tunnel in 2019 with one goal: to create a better car wash experience rooted in community, powered by people, and built on trust. Today, we're one of the fastest-growing car wash companies in the country, with 156 sites across 10 states — and we're just getting started. Our culture is fast-paced, energetic, and built on five core values: teamwork, integrity, caring, fun, and continuous improvement. We're looking for people who are energized by growth, take pride in their work, and genuinely enjoy the ride.

POSITION: Marketing Operations Manager
POSITION REPORTS TO: Chief Marketing Officer

LOCATION: Remote position with up to 15% travel within the US. Preferred locations include Kansas City, Denver, Austin, and San Antonio due to travel requirements and proximity to major airports. Candidates must reside in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, or Texas.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Operations Manager is the engine behind GO's marketing team — the person who makes things happen. You'll own the coordination, execution, and follow-through that keep campaigns, field programs, and launches running on time and on brand. This role touches everything: cross-functional teams, vendors, field operators, and leadership. The ideal candidate doesn't wait to be told what to do — they figure out what needs to happen and make it happen. If you're energized by variety, ownership, and solving problems in a fast-moving environment, this role was built for you.

WHO THRIVES HERE
This role works best for someone who's energized by variety, comfortable switching from a vendor call to a field escalation to a creative review — sometimes all after lunch. You'll have real autonomy and ownership, but you'll also need to build trust quickly across teams that move fast. If you do your best work when you have clear problems to solve and the freedom to solve them your way, you'll fit right in here.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, launch schedules, and implementation recommendations.
  • Coordinate execution across Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, vendors, and field teams.
  • Track deliverables, dependencies, risks, and milestones across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Ensure projects move from concept through implementation and adoption.
  • Maintain visibility into project status and proactively communicate updates.
  • Spot problems after they become fires and come to the table with solutions, not just flags.

FIELD MARKETING SUPPORT

  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for field teams.
  • Navigate signage requirements, print production, and compliance considerations across multiple states and markets.
  • Ensure field teams receive marketing materials and communications prior to launch.
  • Keep field teams informed on request status, delivery timelines, and next steps.
  • Support grand openings, local marketing programs, community partnerships, and promotional events.

MARKETING OPERATIONS

  • Manage marketing systems, workflows, and operational processes.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, launch schedules, and execution guides.
  • Oversee print portals, ordering processes, field resource libraries, and operational marketing tools.
  • Keep marketing materials, assets, and resources organized and easy for field teams to find and use.
  • Build and continuously improve the processes that keep the marketing team running smoothly.

AGENCY & VENDOR MANAGEMENT

  • Develop clear project briefs and requirements.
  • Manage agency and vendor budgets, timelines, deliverables, and approvals.
  • Hold deliverables to a high standard — reviewing for quality, accuracy, and launch readiness after anything goes out the door.
  • Ensure external partners operate as an extension of the marketing team.

LOCAL LISTINGS & DIGITAL PRESENCE

  • Own the accuracy of local listings and digital presence across 156+ sites.
  • Coordinate updates to local SEO platforms and business listings.
  • Support execution of local digital initiatives and campaigns.
  • Drive platform adoption across the organization and follow through until it sticks.

REPORTING & ANALYSIS

  • Track campaign execution and project performance.
  • Monitor marketing budgets, invoices, and vendor spending.
  • Turn data into clear, actionable reporting that gives leadership visibility into what's working and what needs attention.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, execution, and field support processes.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Campaigns, promotions, and field initiatives launch on time and as planned.
  • Field teams feel supported, informed, and set up for success after every launch.
  • Project timelines, dependencies, and risks are actively managed.
  • Leadership has visibility into project status and key milestones.
  • Vendors and agencies are managed effectively and held accountable to deliverables.
  • Problems never come as surprises — they come with a recommended solution already in hand.
  • Projects move forward through ownership and initiative rather than waiting for direction.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of marketing, marketing operations, project management, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-location retail, franchise, hospitality, automotive, or service-based businesses preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and drive accountability.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrives in a remote environment — self-directed, proactive, and accountable without needing daily oversight.
  • Experience working with vendors, agencies, and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience with project management platforms (Smartsheet, Asana, or similar), marketing technology (HubSpot, Twilio, or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but demonstrated experience and a track record of results matter more than credentials.
