Job description

Job Summary:

The Pricing Project Manager leads teams of tactical Pricing Analysts, and serves to execute the company's pricing strategies through the effective collaboration with TForce Freight Sales executives and its customers. Pricing Managers assist in the recruitment, training, and development of their teams and serve as a subject matter expert in the organization's pricing products and yield initiatives. Pricing Managers are well versed in the LTL industry, and assist in the development and enhancement of various tools and processes within the organization. Pricing Managers take ownership over their team's respective customer channel(s) by creating and maintaining various reports as needed in order to keep key stakeholders informed of the team's progress and accomplishments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and train a diverse team of Pricing Analysts on-ground and/or remotely.
  • Champion the company and departmental goals, processes, and strategies by leading the change-management of the Pricing team.
  • Measure and monitor results from strategic and tactical pricing decisions.
  • Lead the team in the interpretation, development, and negotiations of customer pricing agreements.
  • Teach and enhance analytical strategies to develop and negotiate rate increases for customers and 3PL partners.
  • Prepare reports to monitor Pricing activities, performance, and results in order to optimize the organization's performance.
  • Present critical report results, strategies, and proposals to Pricing and company leadership as necessary.
  • Lead recruiting efforts and various external partnerships for the Pricing team.
  • Represent the company on customer conference calls and onsite visits as a pricing subject matter expert.
  • Other duties as required. 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in majors with a strong analytical background, such as Industrial Engineering, Business Data Analytics, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in LTL Pricing, preferably with 2+ years of management experience.
  • Experience evaluating and negotiation on large Corporate and/or 3PL logistics opportunities.
  • Proven history of excellent presentation skills, and comfortable with extracting the "story" told by data.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly, use spreadsheets, computer models, and computer-generated reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, most notably in Microsoft Excel.
  • Currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
