Job description

DSS, Inc. is a leading health information software development and systems integration company, offering services and solutions utilized daily by thousands of clinicians and administrative staff across both public and private sectors nationwide.
Overview
The Infusion Therapy Manager/ Oncology Implementation Training Specialist promotes DSS Inc.'s mission by providing the highest level of care and training to our clients. Experienced candidates will be well versed in Oncology medical care and hands-on implementation of EHR software. Having an infusion center or clinical background with experience in cancer care is preferred. When not on-site, candidate will work from home in a dedicated workspace and must have reliable internet service. Candidate must live within 30 miles of a major airport. Supports and trains our clients in various situations related to the learning and use of our products and services.
The Implementation Specialist will:
  • Travel approximately 36 weeks per year to include weekends and holidays when necessary while abiding by DSS Employee Expense Compliance Agreement
  • Creation and delivery of Training Plans, Syllabi, Web Based Presentations and Training Materials
  • Provide on-site, in person training in both classroom settings and one on one mentoring formats
  • Provide on-site support during customer Go Live
  • Delivers product demonstrations to potential or existing clients as well as internal staff
  • Submits signed, on-site certification documents upon completion of training
  • Reviews application set up with appropriate staff

Other Duties:
  • Responsible for verbal and written communication with clients and documentation of work activities and work processes
  • Participates in internal and external Site Kick Off calls
  • Attends Scrum Calls, Sprint Planning Sessions, Core Team Meetings, Development Planning Meetings as directed
  • Participates in Quality Assurance Testing and troubleshooting of product
  • Assists Documentation Department in the creation of Product Manuals
  • Gathers requirements for workflow process and is involved with the configuration of application
  • Works on Home Based Assignments when not on the road as given by the Training Manager or Director
  • Cross train on other products as assigned by Training Director
  • Abides by policies set forth in DSS and Departmental Handbook including Timesheet and Expense submissions

Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. (Authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.)
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Individuals working for DSS or any Subsidiary will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Required Skills
  • Prior EMR / EHR implementation
  • Skilled in client process and training activities with 100% client focus and strong commitment to following up on client issues until resolution
  • Ability to identify the importance or impact of issues and situations occurring within a clients workflow process and takes appropriate actions to suggest or introduce alternative processes or resolutions (i.e. workflow process consulting)
  • Ability to effectively organize time while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities
  • Excellent listening skills and clear and concise presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Aptitude for understanding technical processes and the ability to learn new software as needed
  • Hands on implementation experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Camtasia, Articulate, Captivate or other authoring tools
  • E-Learning development
  • Fluent in the terminology used in the technical specialty that the product has been designed to support.

Education:
Required:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Equivalent experience or combination of education and experience considered

Desired: Professional training in a medical discipline
Certification(s), Licenses:
  • Required: RN, LPN, Pharm D, R.Ph., COA, CMHP (or similar)
  • Preferred: Training Focused Certifications

Years of experience in a similar role:
  • Required: 3+ years prior software implementation experience
  • Desired: Prior VA or commercial Implementation experience

Compensation:
Salary at DSS Inc is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DSS, Inc. total compensation package for employees.
