The Opportunity:
Do you thrive in a mission-driven environment where modern automation, data integrity, and scalable analytics underpin Navy readiness and operational effectiveness? We are seeking a Senior PowerShell Developer with a Data Scientist background to support the Navy Records Management mission, delivering secure, high-performing automation solutions, analytics pipelines, and optimized applications that enhance enterprise-wide data reliability and workflow efficiency.
In this role, you will combine deep expertise in PowerShell engineering, large-scale data processing, and modern data science practices to design, refactor, and deploy automation frameworks that streamline Navy data workflows and support Records Management modernization. You will partner closely with Program Managers, developers, and Navy stakeholders to analyze requirements, improve processes, implement secure coding practices, and modernize scripts to maximize execution speed, resource efficiency, and system resilience.
You understand that automation engineers and data scientists are central to mission success driving efficiency, integrating data sources, improving decision-making, and ensuring systems scale securely. You will process massive datasets, validate scripts and applications through Pester testing, build data-driven insights, develop automation pipelines, and contribute to Agile delivery across multiple modernization initiatives. Your work will directly improve program effectiveness, accelerate digital transformation, and help the Navy establish maintainable, efficient, and secure automation capabilities.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience with data science or advance analytics with the Department of War (DoW)
  • 10+ years of experience developing PowerShell solutions, including advanced scripting, modularization, refactoring, and secure automation practices
  • Experience processing large-scale datasets, optimizing data pipelines, and applying structured analytics to mission-critical workflows
  • Experience building, maintaining, and validating scripts using Pester, including test design, mocking, and continuous integration of script tests
  • Experience implementing secure coding practices, role-based access controls, and compliance-aligned automation
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and cross-functional technical collaboration
  • Ability to modernize legacy scripts, such as improving performance, reducing resource overhead, and building scalable automation frameworks
  • Ability to design and implement data-driven tools, automation dashboards, and workflow improvements across enterprise environments
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Navy enterprise systems or Records Management modernization initiatives
  • Experience as a Data Scientist utilizing advance Data Analytics across a larger enterprise environment
  • Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and automated test frameworks

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
