Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: United States | Remote

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and thrive in a remote work environment? ARC Group is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join the security team of a Fortune 500 company. This role focuses on Secure Shell (SSH) and key management, requiring hands-on expertise in enterprise-grade SSH key programs. The ideal candidate will hold a SSCP and/or CISSP certification and possess strong technical skills in SSH, Python, and security operations.

Role Overview

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage a comprehensive SSH key management program across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with security teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient SSH key operations, troubleshoot related issues, and contribute to incident response and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage an enterprise SSH key management program, including key generation, distribution, and revocation

  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for SSH key management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SSH key management into existing infrastructure

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks

  • Monitor, report on, and optimize SSH key management system performance

  • Troubleshoot SSH connectivity and authentication issues and provide technical incident response

  • Maintain technical documentation, including procedures, diagrams, and knowledgebase articles

  • Analyze SSH key management metrics and present findings to stakeholders

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • Experience:

    • 4+ years in related work experience

    • 2+ years in Cybersecurity

    • 2+ years in IT infrastructure

  • Strong knowledge of SSH protocols (SSHv1, SSHv2, OpenSSH) and public/private key infrastructure

  • Hands-on experience with key management systems (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS KMS, or equivalent)

  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments

  • Solid understanding of security concepts across networks, applications, and operating systems

  • Experience with Python scripting for automation and security tooling

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
