Position Overview: Under the general direction of the Director of Enterprise Systems & Solutions, the Sr Power Platform Solution Architect will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. This role is critical in driving digital transformation across the organization by delivering scalable, secure, and user-centric applications that streamline operations and improve business outcomes. As a senior member of the Enterprise Systems and Solutions team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and serve as a subject matter expert in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. You will also play a key role in solution architecture, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives. All Redwood Employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance to Redwood company polices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, and implement end-to-end solutions using Power Platform (Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
  • Lead technical design sessions and code reviews to ensure best practices, scalability, and maintainability
  • Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions that align with enterprise architecture
  • Collaborate with business units and the Director of Enterprise Systems & Solutions to define solution roadmaps and delivery timelines
  • Develop and maintain documentation including solution architecture, data models, workflows, and user guides
  • Provide Tier 3 support for Power Platform applications, including diagnostics, performance tuning, and issue resolution
  • Mentor and guide junior developers and analysts on Power Platform capabilities and development standards
  • Establish and enforce governance policies, security models, and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) practices including experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform
  • Stay current with Microsoft roadmap updates and recommend new features or tools to enhance platform capabilities
  • Partner with vendors and external consultants as needed to deliver high-impact solutions
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years focused on Power Platform
  • Proven deep expertise in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, Virtual Agents, Classic Workflows, Cloud and Desktop Flows, Dataflows, Custom Connectors, Low-Code Plug-ins, Power BI, and Power Pages
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure services, and Dynamics 365 integration
  • Experience with solution architecture, data modeling, and API integrations
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-900, PL-200, PL-400, PL-600)
  • Advanced understanding of extending the platform through use of Javascript, plug-ins, or .NET
  • Proficient with Power FX, DAX, M, JSON, Javascript, FetchXML
  • Experience administering the platform - Environment settings, complex security models, DLPs, monitoring, managing capacity, and licensing
  • Follows development best practices with error handling, limiting redundancy, avoiding recursion, handling orphaned records, limiting pending system jobs, and centralizing business logic
  • Experience with dev tools like VS, XRM Toolbox, Ribbon Workbench, etc
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing ALM/CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions using Azure DevOps or equivalent, including source control integration, branching strategies, and automated deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction, property management, or real estate industries
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Planner, and Visio
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk. Working at heights such as using ladders or step stools as needed.
