Working collaboratively with caregivers is key, as they play an essential role in reinforcing strategies learned during therapy sessions.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
  • Availability for 5-10 hours per week, focusing on after-school hours (4-7 PM); weekend availability is a plus.
  • Legally capable of driving and possessing a registered vehicle is essential for conducting home visits.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to employment.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with youth who have intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is strongly recommended.
  • Previous training or experience in providing positive behavior support techniques.
  • Fluency in bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse client families.
