This role will be performed remotely, allowing you the flexibility to deliver therapy services in a manner that suits both your schedule and the needs of your clients. • Deliver individualized therapy sessions either within the client's home or through telehealth platforms, ensuring not to compromise accessibility regardless of the setting.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to assist children and adolescents in navigating challenges such as anger management, coping strategies, and the development of effective social skills.
• Identify and work to mitigate high-risk behaviors, including but not limited to self-injury or aggression, by employing tailored interventions that resonate with the needs of each child.
• Engage in a collaborative approach with the Child Family Treatment Team and coordinate efforts with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss case progress, contribute insights, and suggest adjustments to treatment strategies based on collective feedback.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Providence Mental Therapy Session Center, you will work primarily with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who exhibit developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our focus is to provide therapeutic support that not only addresses psychological needs but also empowers caregivers to enhance their decision-making abilities in managing their children’s behaviors effectively.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this role.
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during late afternoon hours (4-7 PM) is necessary, with a willingness to offer weekend services considered advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for in-home visits.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support methodologies and intervention.
• Previous work experience with children aged 3-20, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred, enhancing our service delivery to a diverse population.
