What is a remote policy job?

Remote policy jobs are positions in which professionals work on policy analysis, development, advocacy, or implementation from a location outside a traditional office, often from home or another remote location. These jobs are common in fields like government, non-profits, think tanks, and advocacy groups, and can involve research, writing policy briefs, stakeholder engagement, and legislative monitoring. Remote policy roles require strong communication, research, and analytical skills, and often utilize digital collaboration tools to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.

How do remote policy professionals effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across different time zones?

Remote policy professionals often work with teams and stakeholders spread across various locations, which requires strong communication and coordination skills. To overcome time zone differences, they typically rely on asynchronous communication tools like email, shared documents, and project management platforms, while also scheduling regular virtual meetings at mutually convenient times. This approach helps maintain project momentum, ensures alignment, and fosters an inclusive environment where everyone's input is valued despite the geographic separation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote policy analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Policy Analyst, you need strong research, analytical, and writing skills, typically supported by a degree in public policy, political science, or a related field. Familiarity with data analysis tools, policy databases, and productivity software such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace is commonly required. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and time management skills set top performers apart in a remote work environment. These skills ensure effective policy evaluation, clear reporting, and consistent productivity while working independently from various locations.

Operating within a retained executive search model, you will own client relationships, manage search engagements from intake through placement, and collaborate closely with a dedicated team of Executive Sales Recruiters to deliver top-performing B2B sales talent across North America. Unlike traditional agency environments, our Account Managers are provided with active search engagements from day one, so you can focus on delivering results and expanding relationships rather than chasing new business.

What You'll Be Doing

Search Project Management

  • Lead and manage retained search engagements from intake through successful placement.
  • Partner closely with Executive Sales Recruiters to identify and secure exceptional B2B sales talent.
  • Execute each search using Peak's proven methodology to ensure consistency, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely delivery and a high standard of execution throughout the search process.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly placement and performance objectives.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business objectives and talent strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout each engagement.
  • Deliver a consultative, high-touch experience that reflects Peak's commitment to excellence.
  • Expand existing relationships through repeat business, referrals, and strategic account growth opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to support clients with additional hiring needs and talent solutions.

Talent Assessment and Customer Success

  • Develop a deep understanding of client requirements and organizational needs.
  • Assess candidate fit and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Guide clients through the search process to ensure successful hiring outcomes.
  • Deliver solutions that consistently exceed expectations and create long-term partnerships.

Performance Excellence

  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue, activity, and placement goals.
  • Generate accurate forecasts to support business planning and resource allocation.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM management and data integrity within Salesforce.
  • Manage multiple search engagements simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Demonstrate Peak's purpose and values in every interaction.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Partner cross-functionally with Executive Sales Recruiters and internal teammates to deliver exceptional results.
  • Share best practices and contribute to the ongoing development of processes and standards.
  • Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • 3-10 years of successful 360 recruitment experience within an executive search, staffing, or headhunting environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing search engagements, developing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Proven ability to consistently exceed sales quotas and performance objectives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to consult credibly with senior leaders and decision-makers.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience with Salesforce, CRM systems, and data management tools is preferred.
  • A growth mindset aligned with Peak's core values of excellence, discipline, service, and continuous improvement.

What We Offer

Remote-First, Flexible Culture

100% remote work environment with company-provided equipment. Our model gives you autonomy and flexibility, built on trust and clear expectations rather than watching a clock.

Wellness and Growth:

  • Three weeks of vacation, plus five PTO days annually
  • Comprehensive benefits after 90 days
  • RRSP matching after six months
  • $750 annual Health & Wellness Allowance, in addition to our benefits program
  • Uncapped commissions and performance incentives
  • Ongoing professional development and career advancement opportunities
