Job description

Help dental professionals find their community, grow their practices, and get more from Spear.
At Spear Education, our Study Clubs bring dental professionals together to learn, connect, and grow alongside peers and Spear's world-class clinical faculty.
We're looking for a Study Club Consultant to help grow our Study Club community by identifying prospective members, connecting them with the right opportunities, and helping new clubs get off to a strong start.
This is a relationship-driven, growth-focused role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, creating opportunities, following through, and turning conversations into action.
Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 base salary + commission, with expected on-target earnings of approximately $100,000.
Location: Greater Phoenix/Scottsdale area preferred; hybrid schedule based out of our Scottsdale office. Remote candidates may also be considered.
What You'll Do
Grow Study Club Membership
  • Identify and engage prospective Study Club members through proactive outreach, referrals, events, and existing Spear relationships.
  • Build relationships with dental professionals and understand their goals, needs, and interests.
  • Clearly communicate the value of Spear Study Clubs and help prospects find the right fit.
  • Maintain consistent, thoughtful follow-up to move prospects from initial interest to membership.
  • Partner closely with Study Club Advisors to support membership growth and achieve monthly membership and revenue goals.

Help Launch New Study Clubs
  • Connect with dental professionals interested in starting or leading a Study Club.
  • Help prospective leaders understand the Study Club model, resources, and support available through Spear.
  • Support Advisors with prospecting and help move new clubs from initial interest through launch.
  • Provide early support to smaller or newly forming clubs before transitioning the relationship to the appropriate Study Club Advisor.

Build Relationships That Last
  • Conduct consultative conversations by phone, email, and video to understand what matters most to prospective members.
  • Develop trusted relationships with prospects, Study Club Advisors, and internal partners.
  • Represent Spear professionally and create a positive experience throughout the prospect and onboarding journey.

Own Your Pipeline
  • Manage and maintain an active prospect pipeline using HubSpot and NetSuite.
  • Keep opportunity stages, activities, follow-up tasks, commitments, and next steps current and accurate.
  • Prepare for regular 1:1s with your manager by understanding your pipeline, activity, accomplishments, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Stay organized and persistent in moving opportunities forward.

Create Connections Across Spear
  • Identify opportunities where Study Club prospects and members may benefit from other Spear offerings, including Faculty Club.
  • Share prospect insights and feedback with Marketing and other internal teams to help strengthen the member experience and support growth.
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure a smooth transition from sale to onboarding.

Help Members Get Off to a Great Start
  • Ensure new members and Study Club leaders receive a timely and seamless handoff.
  • Support onboarding, Leadership 101, orientation, and early engagement.
  • Build the foundation for a positive member experience and long-term Study Club engagement.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is comfortable building relationships, creating opportunities, and owning a sales pipeline. You may come from a traditional sales background-or from customer success, account management, recruiting, business development, or another relationship-focused role.
You'll be a strong fit if you:
  • Have experience building relationships and influencing decisions in a professional setting.
  • Are comfortable with proactive outreach, prospecting, and making calls.
  • Have strong consultative selling and discovery skills.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with a professional audience.
  • Are highly organized and disciplined about follow-up.
  • Are motivated by goals and enjoy seeing your efforts translate into results.
  • Can manage multiple opportunities while maintaining accurate CRM activity.
  • Take ownership and are comfortable working independently.
  • Collaborate well with others and know when to bring in the right partner.
  • Are curious, adaptable, persistent, and genuinely interested in helping people find solutions that meet their needs.

Preferred experience includes:
  • Sales, business development, account management, or customer success
  • Memberships, subscriptions, professional education, or professional services
  • Dental, healthcare, or education environments
  • Experience working with dental practices or healthcare professionals
  • HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar CRM/ERP platforms

What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means more than simply closing a sale. You'll build a healthy pipeline, create meaningful relationships, grow Study Club membership, help launch new clubs, and ensure new members have a strong start with Spear.
You'll be someone who sees an opportunity, follows through, and brings the right people together to make it happen.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a comprehensive benefits designed to support you both at work and beyond, including:
  • Medical and dental coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO)
