Pipeline Estimator
Location: Remote (PA, WV, OH)
Type: Contract to hire
Pay: $60 – 80/hr
Industry: Oil & Gas Pipeline Construction
Summary
This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive bids while providing leadership and technical expertise across multiple projects. Qualified candidates should be familiar with common welding procedures, installation norms, and an engineering background.
Responsibilities

  • Support the estimating process for various projects including compressor stations, pipelines, and other oil and gas type projects
  • Develop detailed cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets
  • Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Review and validate estimates, including labor, materials, and production rates
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare complete estimates
  • Monitor market trends, material pricing, and labor costs to ensure competitive positioning
  • Support preconstruction efforts and participate in project handoff to operations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
  • Experience in oil & gas industrial construction projects
  • Must have experience with Navisworks 3D and Bluebeam for drawing ISO's and as-builts
  • Proven experience managing complex bids and delivering accurate estimates
  • Proficiency in estimating software and strong Excel skills
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
