Job description

Guide the adoption of Red Hat's solution in key enterprise accounts, government agencies, and service provider partners, and scope delivery projects and guide customers through successful pilot and production deployments.

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do:

  • Build relationships with customer engineering, development and operations teams by aligning their technical requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of Red Hat's solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams from Red Hat's solutions, Product Engineering, Support, Professional Services, and Sales teams to meet the needs of the most demanding customers.
  • Deliver successful discovery, analysis, and design workshops for small to medium teams of technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape customer use cases and architecture design decisions.
  • Scope delivery projects and guide customers through successful pilot and production deployments.
  • Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service, and support Red Hat's cloud solutions at scale.
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat's services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk. Demonstrate vision and expertise in the cloud community by producing outstanding white papers, webinars, and the like, and by speaking at top industry conferences.
  • Serve as a customer advocate within Red Hat to deliver the right solutions and to ensure that those solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with: Cloud-native Integration using Apache Camel / Red Hat FUSE, and using architectural patterns to implement, test and deploy integration services based on OpenShift; Development of Java applications and microservices, including packaging and deployment of multi-tiered Java applications, unit and integration tests implementation, enabling health checks, tracing and monitoring, using technologies such as Quarkus or Spring Framework and deploying these applications to Openshift; Building, running, and managing containers with Podman and Red Hat OpenShift, resolving container dependencies and troubleshooting network connectivity between containers and provision persistent container storage; Understanding and employing general methods for troubleshooting, including diagnosing application issues, monitoring distributed transactions using Jaeger, performing root cause analysis and gathering information to aid third party investigation of issues in an Openshift environment; Configuring OpenShift including deploying packaged applicationswith manifests, templates, Kustomize, and Helm, as well as configuring authentication and authorization for users and applications; and Administering OpenShift operations including securing network traffic with policies and controlled access, enabling developer self-service, and managing OpenShift cluster and Kubernetes operator updates.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience contributing to Opensource projects, resolving existing bugs and adding new features, and helping other users on community channels.

The salary range for this position is $157,248 - $195,680/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
