• Conduct initial assessments and detailed case histories during preliminary interviews to understand clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs.
• Document clinical records meticulously from the first consultation through every stage of treatment to monitor progress and outcomes.
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, considering unique backgrounds and needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to foster open dialogue and healing.
• Continuously monitor client progress against the treatment plan and make necessary adjustments to ensure effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other medical professionals to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Assist clients in managing crisis situations and identify behaviors that may impede recovery, fostering a proactive rather than reactive approach to care.
• Provide support and guidance to families and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools to manage mental health challenges effectively.

The ideal candidate will work with a varied range of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. You will play a crucial role in helping vulnerable populations, including those from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, to navigate their mental health challenges. Understanding our clients' unique cultural and personal contexts will be essential in providing compassionate and effective support.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated clinical experience in mental health counseling, preferably with diverse client populations.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.
• Thorough understanding of the interplay between mental health and physical conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities and a compassionate demeanor.

• Prior experience managing treatment plans collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience addressing the needs of underrepresented or marginalized populations.
• Knowledge of integrative treatment methods that consider both physical and mental health aspects.
• Understanding of pharmacological interventions and their effects on mental health.
