Key Responsibilities

  • Document clinical records meticulously from the first consultation through every stage of treatment to monitor progress and outcomes.
  • Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, considering unique backgrounds and needs.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to foster open dialogue and healing.
  • Continuously monitor client progress against the treatment plan and make necessary adjustments to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other medical professionals to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
  • Assist clients in managing crisis situations and identify behaviors that may impede recovery, fostering a proactive rather than reactive approach to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in mental health counseling, preferably with diverse client populations.
