This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexible working arrangements that support both your professional and personal life. • Conduct individualized virtual therapy sessions utilizing secure video conferencing software, ensuring clients feel comfortable and supported.
• Thoroughly assess each client’s mental health needs through initial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and ongoing assessments.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that address the unique challenges and goals of each client.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques and modalities as appropriate.
• Document and maintain accurate client records, including detailed progress notes and treatment adjustments.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with a network of mental health professionals, sharing insights for holistic client care.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Cardinal Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse client population facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through their journeys to improved mental wellness.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in mental health counseling, with a proven track record of effective client interactions.
• Experience conducting virtual therapy sessions is essential, demonstrating familiarity with digital tools.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while working independently.
• Comfortable using technology and software programs for clinical documentation and client data management.

• Previous work in an outpatient clinic or community mental health setting is highly regarded.
