Job description

The Sales position actively maintains and expands relationships with current and potential customers in the region. The position will be actively pursuing new business opportunities, and will need to be located in the Knoxville, TN area in order to perform sales calls regularly.  This position will also focus on both public and private projects for commercial/industrial clients as well as General Contractors/Mechanical contractors.

Position Overview

Identify and pursue new business development opportunities including maintaining positive client relationships to leverage future repeat business

Prepare full cost estimates including quantity take-offs and pricing

Participate in bid solicitation, bid package preparation and analysis

Assist in preparation of general contract and subcontract administration

Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules

Facilitate the RFI process

Ability to understand and solve complex challenges to present alternative solutions

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

1-2 years' experience in commercial construction or petroleum industry preferred

Prior conceptual estimating and bidding experience is preferred

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
