A Remote Personal Injury Attorney is a lawyer who handles personal injury cases while working from a remote location rather than a traditional office. They provide legal advice, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court if necessary, often using virtual communication tools. Many remote personal injury attorneys work for law firms, as independent contractors, or run their own virtual practice.

As a Remote Personal Injury Attorney, your daily responsibilities often include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and correspondence, negotiating settlements, and consulting with clients via phone or video conferencing. You may also review medical records, collaborate with experts and investigators, and prepare for virtual court appearances or depositions. Many remote attorneys manage their case files and schedules digitally using secure case management platforms. While you work independently, you'll frequently coordinate with clients, paralegals, and other attorneys to keep cases progressing smoothly. This remote structure offers flexibility but requires strong organizational skills and self-motivation to succeed.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote personal injury attorney?

To thrive as a Remote Personal Injury Attorney, you need a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, a valid state bar license, in-depth knowledge of tort law, and experience handling personal injury cases. Outstanding written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to empathize with clients are essential soft skills in this role. These abilities ensure the delivery of effective legal representation, seamless case management, and strong client relationships in a remote setting.

Job description

Family Law Attorney โ€” Colorado (Remote)
New Leaf Family | Full-Time | $125,000โ€“$150,000 DOE + Production Bonuses
Practice law differently.
New Leaf Family isn't a โ€œdivorce broker.โ€ Since 2004, we've built a Family Law practice around empowerment and clarity instead of conflict โ€” helping clients move toward the future they want, not just survive the present. We're looking for an experienced Colorado attorney who wants the same.
Who we are
Since 2004, New Leaf Family has been rethinking what a Family Law firm can be. Our clients come to us with personal conflicts that intersect with legal issues โ€” not purely legal problems โ€” so we help them clarify their goals and move confidently toward the future they want, drawing on a network of coaches, counselors, and financial planners along the way.
We're not in the business of fueling conflict. We're fully prepared to litigate when it's the right call, but our first commitment is always to resolutions that support a healthier future for the whole family. It's a values-first culture built on integrity, compassion, and excellence โ€” and it shows in how our attorneys practice and how our clients heal.
What you'll do
You'll guide clients through major life transitions with strategy and compassion: listening deeply, explaining options clearly, advocating skillfully in negotiation, mediation, and court, and connecting clients to coaches, counselors, and financial planners when their needs go beyond the legal. You'll do it as part of a collaborative, distributed team โ€” leading when it counts and leaning on support when it helps.
What we're looking for
โ€ข3+ years practicing Colorado Family Law
โ€ขLicensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar
โ€ขA sharp, empathetic communicator who writes exceptional legal work
โ€ขCreative and solution-oriented โ€” comfortable working beyond traditional legal playbooks
โ€ขTech-proficient and genuinely collaborative, even remote
Why New Leaf
โ€ขCompetitive salary + discretionary bonuses
โ€ขUnlimited PTO, flexible schedule, fully remote
โ€ขMedical, dental, and vision insurance
โ€ข401(k) with 4% match
โ€ขCLE Allowance and Bar Dues Fully Covered
*Generous Employee Recognition Programs
*EAP, Rx discount card, and an employee perks program
โ€ขA mission-driven, tech-forward team that actually believes in the work
Ready for a practice that's purposeful and client-centered? Let's talk.
