Job description

Position Overview

Mindful Moments Therapy is seeking dedicated and empathetic mental health professionals to join our team as full-time Remote Mental Health Counselors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide support and therapeutic services to clients seeking to improve their mental well-being from the comfort of a remote setting. As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to meaningful client transformations while balancing your work and personal life effectively.

About the Organization

At Mindful Moments Therapy, based in Elizabeth, New Jersey, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for both our clients and our staff. Our mission is to provide exceptional mental health services that promote healing and personal growth. We pride ourselves on offering competitive compensation and incentives, along with comprehensive administrative and technological support, ensuring that you can focus on what you do bestโ€”counseling.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, permitting flexibility to work from home while adhering to your own schedule. Our outpatient office structure allows for a collaborative work atmosphere, backed by a team of professionals dedicated to supporting one another. As a counselor, you will enjoy the benefits of a streamlined technology platform that serves as your virtual private practice, allowing you to conduct sessions seamlessly through video, text, and messaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions via video chat to assist clients in addressing mental health concerns.
  • Facilitate open discussions about emotions and experiences to help clients gain insights into their behaviors and relationships.
  • Advocate for clients by assisting them in defining their therapeutic goals and establishing actionable steps towards achieving them.
  • Evaluate clients' mental health status, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and implement interventions tailored to their needs.
  • Document therapy sessions succinctly while minimizing paperwork through our efficient technology platform.
  • Maintain a consistent caseload through our client referral system, ensuring that your schedule remains full based on your availability.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients consist of carefully screened adults who present with low acuity mental health issues. This means you will be working with stable individuals seeking guidance and support rather than those facing severe mental health crises. We prioritize matching you with clients that align with your clinical specialties and demographic preferences, ensuring a positive therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Valid, unrestricted license to practice independently in New Jersey as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Proficient interpersonal skills with a strong empathetic disposition towards clients.
  • Technical proficiency with a computer and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a counseling or therapeutic setting.
  • Experience working in remote or telehealth environments is a plus.
  • Background in addressing a wide range of mental health issues related to adults is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 9,000 to $10,400 annually, depending on your level of experience and hours worked. We offer a generous sign-on bonus, along with a healthcare stipend for full-time counselors. Other benefits include:

  • Weekly direct deposit payments for timely compensation.
  • Opportunities for additional income, whether as a supplementary role or a primary occupation.
  • Minimal paperworkโ€”while you focus on client care, we handle technology, marketing, and billing.
  • A comprehensive counselor dashboard that simplifies client management.
  • Quick onboarding with the potential to start seeing clients within 1-3 days.
Career Growth Opportunities

Mindful Moments Therapy values professional growth and encourages ongoing education, training, and supervision to elevate your skills as a mental health professional. As a member of our team, you will have access to resources that promote your development, including workshops and certifications that can enhance your practice and elevate your career.

Why Join Our Team

At Mindful Moments Therapy, we understand the importance of work-life balance and respect your time. We believe that satisfied therapists lead to satisfied clients, which is why we cultivate an environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally. With minimal marketing burdens and strong client referrals, you can focus on delivering impactful therapy without the usual challenges associated with client acquisition.
