Familiarity with HRIS software, payroll platforms, and compliance tracking systems is essential. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills help you effectively manage client relationships and resolve complex HR issues remotely. These skills are vital to ensure accurate HR service delivery, maintain compliance, and foster client satisfaction in a distributed work environment.

Job description

Payroll Specialist - Client Success
Full-Time | $50,000-$65,000 DOE | Remote USA**
If you know payroll inside and out and you're good with people, this role was built for you.
eBacon is a Phoenix-based payroll and HR software company serving the construction industry. We're looking for a Payroll Support Specialist to manage a dedicated client list, run payroll accurately, and be the go-to person when a client's payroll needs troubleshooting.
Join a strong team at a company that's been growing steadily in a niche where we're genuinely the best at what we do.
Day-to-day:
  • Engage with clients via phone and web to identify and resolve payroll challenges
  • Provide technical support on payroll processing procedures
  • Manage integration of client payroll submissions into eBacon's software
  • First point of contact for employer and employee payroll questions
You're a fit if you have:
  • 3+ years in payroll processing or payroll support
  • Hands-on experience with SaaS payroll software (ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, or similar) required
  • Strong customer service instincts and genuine interest in helping people
  • Ability to manage multiple client payroll cycles at once
Nice to have:
  • Construction industry background
  • Exposure to certified payroll or prevailing wage work
  • PEO or ASO experience
Benefits:
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. eBacon contributes $575/month toward medical (or $100/month toward other ancillary coverage), so your out-of-pocket cost stays low.
  • HSA and FSA options available
  • 401(k) with 6% employer match, eligible after 60 days
  • 15 days PTO annually (years 1-4), 20 days starting year 5

**All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment is contingent upon the ability to provide documentation verifying identity and authorization to work in the U.S. in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Who are we?
eBacon is a financial technology software company located in Phoenix, Arizona. We create a lot of innovative financial solutions for the business world, with a focus on certified payroll and fringe benefit management for the construction industry. Our development team is in-house, so we're always creating cool, new things to get the job done. We have won awards for customer service and for being one of the top companies to work for in Arizona for several years and counting.
We also have excellent benefits, including competitive pay, plenty of PTO, health care, 401K matching, and fun employee outings. The work we do is serious, and we work hard and take great pride in the help we give our clients, but we also don't take ourselves too seriously. I mean, we do have a bacon strip mascot.
