• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for pediatric oncology patients and their families, evaluating social support networks, financial concerns, and coping strategies.

• Maintain regular contact with patients and families to offer continuous guidance and support, particularly during and after hospital admissions.
• Educate families about available community resources, enabling them to connect with support groups, financial aid options, and additional services crucial for managing care.
• Adhere strictly to compliance policies and ethical standards in practice, proactively reporting any concerns related to patient care or information integrity.
• Document interactions and treatment plans meticulously in the organization's electronic health record system, ensuring all necessary information is accessible and adheres to confidentiality standards.

This role primarily serves a pediatric oncology patient population, which includes children undergoing treatment for various forms of cancer and their support networks. • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Pennsylvania is necessary to practice legally.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical social work setting, with a focus on pediatrics or oncology preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to assess complex psychosocial situations effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teammates.
