Job Summary

Patient Access Representative
MGB Enterprise, Revenue Cycle Operations
Be the first point of contact in creating a positive patient experience. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and discharge process while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for welcoming patients, collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and helping patients understand insurance and billing procedures. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a seamless experience for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist patients in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner.
Collect, verify, and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into electronic systems.
Schedule appointments and confirm patient information.
Educate patients on insurance coverage, billing policies, and organizational procedures.
Process patient payments and provide receipts.
Obtain and track pre-authorizations for services and procedures as required.
Address patient questions, concerns, and requests promptly, escalating complex issues to senior Patient Access staff or management when appropriate.
Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
